On the topic of Barcelona, Barca have about 145k members, 80k-ish are season ticket holders, and there's about 15k on the waiting list. About 80% of the seats are sold as season tickets, the rest are VIP's, away fans and the remainder are offered for sale to members first & then to walk up punters. The season tickets never get sold to anyone other than members. So it's a close shop. Season ticket holders can sell individual tickets back to the club for resale or they can rent out their tickets illegally for individual games.I've been about 15 times, and have never got a ticket through official channels.

Locals. Members & supporters clubs get the discounted ST's and then sell on the individual less attractive games to tourists. If you've been to any of Barca's home games, at least 40% are tourists. It's like the footballing equivalent of Disney World.

I’ve heard Mickey Mouse has got a Kevin Mcabe watch.

Will there be walk on girls when this new deal is announced?

Isn't the title a bit misleading?

What's Saturday and Sunday P? I can't wait until every day of the week has a label to burden my already overtaxed imagination

Saturday and Sunday are free days. You can hate whatever you feel like. I just go with humanity and use it as an excuse to stay indoors, interact with as few people as possible.

It'll give me a chance to dedicate time to watch my collection of John Waters' films. Need to remind myself that a moral compass exists for a reason.

Interesting, good bit of research. Just had a quick scan at the Spanish ones and it doesn't address the question as to who is eligible for the cheaper tickets. This aside, the premiership ST's (excluding the big three in London) stack up favourably against these. Median prices would answer the argument but how you'd figure these out I don't know. Can't open the German one btw.

Another point that I’ve heard is

When you see that Barcelona has 145,000 members of which over 80.000 are season ticket holders then that sounds really really impressive. However Barcelona is more than a football team, the club represents the Catalan movement.

So you’ll find that many of those members have little relative interest towards football.
They do however have massive loyalty towards the city of Barcelona and Catalonia and show their political support by becoming club members of Barcelona F.C. That’s what I heard years ago, could be wrong.

I went to see Barcelona play Real Sociedad in about 2008, the season they has Thierry Henry up front.
Wasn’t that impressed with the overall in game atmosphere, seemed to be more neutrals and tourists than actual fans.
Totally different to Bramall Lane and no passion. However I admit that when Barcelona scored it was very very loud and impressive.

The ground was really impressive once inside. It’s similar to the Millenium stadium, in that the bottom tier is below ground level
So from the outside it looks slightly bigger than Bramall Lane but no where near as big as Wembley, then when you get inside it’s shocks you how big it is, with steep sides. Wasn’t impressed with the concourse areas though, not a patch on PL grounds, mainly crumbling concrete dull old fashioned concourses and toilet areas.

Anyone criticising SUFC, have a look at the customer survey SWFC have sent to the pig fanbase. Mark my words, a couple of draws and a new manager doesn’t mean that club is anything apart from a massive shitstorm brewing...

Anyone can fill it in, so have a go ;)

Amateurish effort at market research- loaded questions but quite good fun for us.

What is it with people expecting instant success? Grown men acting like spoiled children.

We have invested a decent amount and steadily increased the quality of the squad over the past 18 months.

We're going about it properly, building a strong, hard-working and capable squad within sensible financial parameters.

We have a plan for the short, medium and, crucially, long-term.

It's still well within our capabilities to reach the playoffs and challenge for promotion this season - a remarkable feat when you consider that we would have all been very happy with consolidation at the start of our first campaign back in the Championship.

If we don't reach it, we'll strengthen yet again in the summer and give it a real go next year.

In an age where clubs are spunking money left, right and centre, we're one of the few doing it the right way. We should all be proud of what we've achieved so far and what we've got going on at this football club.

For these reasons, I believe all is settled at the lane and there's nowt to worry about.
