New investment to be announced?

I liked this post so much, I made it official & hit the ‘like’ button.

Couple of things.
Maybe, just maybe, some of the posters on here actually are spoiled children? Nothing against the younger generation (I even have one of my own) but they do seem to expect it all ‘now’ don’t they?

Our squad looks better than it has for yonks. The January Window acquisitions have all added good options & for me Evans particularly looked quality on Tuesday.

Patience is a virtue & as Guinness drinkers know, good things come to those who wait. They’re coming - all we need is just need a little patience (thank you Axl Rose).

UTB’s!!

Thought it was Take That who did Patience?

Those were aspirations not lies. There’s no dark conspiracy.

Or is there?

Genuine question. Why not?

Because fairy tales do not come true for Blades. Our shear existence is to suffer petulance, this minor upturn in our fortunes is to open up the wounds of hope ready for salt to be rubbed in.

Nope, he didn’t. That was said by someone no longer employed by the football club. Those comments have been addressed though, with the person who did say it confirming that he regretted it.

Well Mr Jelly Jr is at a Q&A with big Kev next week so I'll get him to ask the slippery fecker.

i’m happy with how we are progressing.. the Wolves model has got disaster written all over it

Promotion to PL is one disaster I would like us to be plagued with.

Those who have been in the premier league recently can spend daft money on players- some teams gamble with the club and fail ( the pigs) or gamble and go up ( Wolves this season Bourmemouth).

We tried gambling once and it nearly broke the club. Want the club to gamble again ?

Please stop using facts on here. It's confusing.

What is it with people expecting instant success? Grown men acting like spoiled children.

We have invested a decent amount and steadily increased the quality of the squad over the past 18 months.

We're going about it properly, building a strong, hard-working and capable squad within sensible financial parameters.

We have a plan for the short, medium and, crucially, long-term.

It's still well within our capabilities to reach the playoffs and challenge for promotion this season - a remarkable feat when you consider that we would have all been very happy with consolidation at the start of our first campaign back in the Championship.

If we don't reach it, we'll strengthen yet again in the summer and give it a real go next year.

In an age where clubs are spunking money left, right and centre, we're one of the few doing it the right way. We should all be proud of what we've achieved so far and what we've got going on at this football club.

Football supporters are always happy to spend other people's money.

Think Liverpool
As soon as we get promoted investment
HRH will put money in and km would match it

Not looking for an argument just making the point they made promises and set expectations that they have failed to deliver on. One good thing they've done is bringing in CW, he won't bullshit or mislead fans

It was said that HRH would put money in when promoted. I can't recall it being said that KM would match it.

Why limit lies to 18 months when we were sold a 5 year plan with clear milestones of Championship, investment, PL and Europe?
well we are in the championship , we have had some investment and the prem is only 1 place from our reach as we type
wn the fa cup and we are in europe all by May

Don't disagree, but not to the original levels kev quoted with his Liverpool analogy

For the umpteenth time you keep saying McCabe said it. It was Phipps.

A quick use of the search facility shows you bring this subject up at least once a month btw. Yet you still can't get the basics right or understand that the owners can't compete with parachute payments etc.

WEERZMUNNEHGONE?!

IFYERDUNTKNOJUSTMEKKITUP!!!

The problem is that their is at least 10 championship clubs that have probably been promised game changing investment. Some of whom have been heavily invested but still struggling to make the top 6.

But those clubs didn't have Wilder. We can keep the same budget and hope to get promoted or we can invest bigger sums of money and plan to get promoted.

I can save you the bother.
He’ll say “I never made that claim. Next question.”

May I suggest that you purchase some binoculars, train them on the northern end of the city, where you will see a memorial to new investment at a football club?

Referring to the filth seems to be the default reply to serious investment.
