Like some every now and again i will do the bbc predictor it is the best and quickest way to see if we can seriously stay up. Because Palace are 4th bottom everyone is looking at catching them only. Now looking at there fixtures they have i really don't think we can catch them, Coventry on the other hand as well as derby i believe we can. Now saturday is a massive game for us blades because we play the scum but it has an added extra that they are trying to get up and we are trying to stop up. The best i think we can hope for is out of the next 2 games is 1 point. That leaves us with 7 games left, but in my eyes i really think we can beat both Middlesborough and Cardiff at BDTBL because Middlesborough are average and Cardiff are doing there usual at this end of the season and bottling it plus it is mid week and that will help us. Then we have Preston who i think will be relegated by the time we play them and Bristol city at home is a very winnable game. We then go to Reading who by then will be mid table so i think we can grab a point, then dingles at home surely we can sneak a win against them. Hopefully if we are not in the bottom 3 by the last day that will be enough because i can't see us getting anything at swansea. Coventry have 10 games left 6 away and 4 at home some very difficult, if we can get 10 points out of the 4 games i mentioned we have a chance.

We need a minimum of 47 points to stand even the remotest of chances. From 9 games this would be 15 points. This would equate to a MINIMUM of 5 wins or 4 wins and 3 draws or 3 wins and 6 draws. Cov & Boro are already on 41 points, and they have 10 games left) we may well amass the 47 points but I can't see anyone outside of the bottom 3 dropping so many points.

It's possible, and I admire your optimism, but face it, we're fucked...!

look at OUR fixtures.... any opponent capable of scoring one goal against us has won.
adams was brought in to bring a fighting, 'Bladesway' spirit into the club but has failed miserably
we have no players at the club looking capable of inspiring a revival, no quality in the side at all
face it, we've had it!

You're clutching at straws dp. No amount of online predictors will be able to tell you whether we can stay up or not. Besides the fact that our relegation looks nailed on, it is almost impossible to predict the rest of the season anything close to 100% accuracy. Football is too unpredictable as a sport and is full of circumstance - particularly in the Championship, the most unpredictable league of the lot.

We require the same as we did before Watford to have any chance - 6 wins. 50 points is the benchmark and if you get anything less than that, the possibility of relegation is high. Historical records for this division show that. United's only other hope now is that one side above us has abysmal form for the rest of the season and another goes into administration.

Its ok saying lets have some hope etc. but at some point you have to face the inevitable. If you see Cardiff and Barnsley (for example) as nailed on home wins then you're dreaming - perhaps that's better than facing reality though!

If we lose at home to Leeds and Crystal Palace beat Derby then we are gone.
Nine points difference with an inferior difference would be a hopeless gap.
