He probably can't be sold until he's either proven innocent or the case is dropped.

It could take months for the case to be heard/dropped

If he's proven guilty, best case scenario is we save his wages.

Any way you look at it, it's bad news for the club.

Probably the only feckin way he could score.
Thought he had a fit bird/wife already.
If true this sums him up and proves that he has no brain whatsoever - something I have been banging on about all season.

They just make stuff up nowadays. You don't need to write anthing which is true

but i'm more worried that they think scoring twice in 13 Welsh games makes him an Ace.

But the telling bit is

Evans is thought to have paid for the room on a credit card at 4am.

He is believed to have told cops any physical contact was consensual.

which means the sun has no evidence and have put these words in to stop themselves from being sued

The £3million Sheffield United striker, who has scored twice in 13 games for Wales, was held after the 19-year-old woke naked and disorientated.

She told cops she believed her drinks were spiked as the last thing she could remember was being at a club in Rhyl, North Wales.

A source said: "She woke without her bag and phone."

CCTV footage from the Premier Inn in nearby Rhuddlan is believed to show the girl "incapably drunk" with two men.

The ex-Man City star and a pal, both 22, were arrested on the day of the incident, May 30.

Evans is thought to have paid for the room on a credit card at 4am.

We'll see where this goes. Alot of the girls go back to the hotels just to get their name in the paper. If he has "sexually attacked" her then he deserves all he gets. Find it hard to believe that she wasn't willing though.

I find it hard to believe she wasn't a willing participant. If she wasn't then Ched deserves everything he gets.
 
Without commenting on this case, it's the response to the story that I find interesting. While I don't doubt that false accusations are made, by far the biggest problem in sexual assault cases is the lack of justice for the victim.

Some stats C&P'd from a Guardian piece:

The government estimates that as many as 95% of rapes are never reported to the police at all. Of the rapes that were reported from 2007 to 2008, only 6.5% resulted in a conviction, compared with 34% of criminal cases in general. The majority of convictions for rape resulted from an admission of guilt by the defendant, whereas less than one quarter of all those charged with rape were convicted following a successful trial.

What I dont get is how a player on say 8000 a week would rob a girl , who might be on 300 quid at best, after paying for a room with his card
and why didnt the hotel staff say when he was paying by credit card, what are you doing dragging that girl kicking and screaming and shouting help , your not doing anything naughty are you


just seems a bit , setty uppy
like a lot of pro footballers seem to get

I would say it would've been nearer the front pages in the current footballer bashing times if there was too much to this.

However, it probably explains the lack of any moves for him. Whether it gets settled before the transfer window closes again is another matter, as is what sanctions the club can make against him until it is sorted out. Would we have any right so reduce salary beyond a one-hit, 2 week fine? Don't think th PFA allow more!?

It's the Sun. Pretty much anything they publish is very far from the truth hence all the 'terms' to stop them being sued.

If he's trying to emulate Giggs in some way he'd be better off trying to emulate his on the pitch antics, rather than those in the bedroom.
