For those who haven't seen it on the official site it appears that Club Player have finally addressed the issues on mobile and tablet and have released a new app that should do the business.

Go to your relevant store, I can only say about Google Play store as I am an android user. You are searching for the new app which is "FLi Player", when you get there you simply select Sheffield United from the list and use your existing log ins.(Also available via the apple store - Cheers Kenilworth)

I have had a little peek and it seems pretty straightforward and basic but hopefully it will do the job looking at it. It has all of the Bladesplayer video clips and highlights and the live match player which is available by clicking the microphone in the top left hand corner and the clicking play at the bottom of the page.

I'm at the lane tomorrow but if any of our expats fancy testing the live commentary for it and commenting on the capabilities then that would be cool

When you watch highlights etc the red headline stays there, so you won't get full screen like you could on the previous app. Definitely a weakness, although I hope live commentary will work.

I think I'm gonna take some headphones on the road with me and have a listen to Edwards on the phone while at the match to see if they see what I see.

I use Bladeplayer for videos and highlights more than owt but will come in handy if I can't get to a game, great news for the expats I would imagine too?

I'd hazard a guess, that's a big fat no :)

Have a chat with him off air/before and it might be closer though.

I remember when I broke my tib and fib playing footbal, I had to have surgery and couldn't get to the games so had to listen on RS for about 10 week. Depressing times even on strong painkillers!

Just an update on this for anyone interested. I used it at the game today and despite my signal not being brilliant inside the ground I had seamless commentary without lag which I was pleasantly surprised with.

This is probably 5 years overdue. I might seriously consider getting it if it's actually any good.
