Very tidy app this. Even buy tickets through it.. says my subscription is currently a "free pass" not sure what that's about

Fucking amazing app. Its about technology started pulling its weight.

Don't the BBC Nazis restrict access to game commentaries on digital platforms? Eg you can't listen to comms on iPlayer coz it's on ifollow

You didn't get the commentaries though - well I didn't - I just got the same message that you get on the internet RS.
Sure I listened to them last season on there, I remember them saying you can listen on free view channel etc. Edit just found this listing from earlier this year.

Is up and running, just downloaded it from the App Store, seems a good bit of kit.

If they can't spell premium correctly, I have doubts about the overall quality of the app.

No, its the owner of the rights on that platform. So the BBC can't broadcast EFL games online or through the BBC apps, however, the providers such as iFollow will broadcast the BBC commentary because they've paid the BBC for it.

Its like going to your local pub every day chucking money behind the bar, then you turn up on a friday night and its closed for a private party. But you can go and watch the party in a shitty pub down the road if you pay for it

That's a good analogy. Mrsstringjunior IS the BBC nazi.

Anybody sorted if by using a VPN and subscribing you can get away with uk based address and credit card?

Question: like a lot of other blades I'll be on holiday abroad for the first couple of games of the season. Will I need a year long subscription to watch these 2 games or can I just pay a £6 one off fee?

I just checked with a VPN on, seems like Match passes are available for £5 (strangely still said £5 even though I was in Sweden) anyway, match pass seems like a fair price for a couple of games while on holiday or if you want to test your VPN before committing to a full pass.

Pretty good value all round really.

What I don't understand though is why they can't just offer this to the UK anyway, Sky have the broadcasting rights and sponsor the league, if they aren't planning on showing it on Sky Sports, then surely it's worth making money from it by offering the games to iFollow UK subscribers?

Maybe the money wouldn't all go to Sky, would be split between other league sponsors and the FA or something perhaps, but a percentage of something is better than all of nowt.

Ah well. If it works with static IP VPNs I'll happily pay.
