Negative crowd

Donaldson’s game is more about running the line and feeding off scraps, I’ve felt for a while that at the Lane is he is nowhere near as good as he is away from home, where he is usually superb

Bloke behind me also reckons he's not a good sub because he can't pick the pace of the game up and needs to start. I see his point.

Beat me to it.
It was very clear that the whistling was to attract attention to something serious at the back of the Kop.

Depends on where you sit in the ground because if you were at the other end of the Kop you wouldn’t have seen (and so wouldn’t have known) but if you were in the SS or JS then you’d have seen the situation and wouldn’t attribute the whistling as being directed at the players.
My apologies then ! Thread closed. Hope whoever it was is ok. It seemed strange from half way on the SS.

Always bad to make assumptions.

And yet if it was serious why doesn't somebody go and inform them by word of mouth? Trust me you can communicate a whole lot more using words than whistling, I'd also like to add it usually takes dragging a St. John's ambulance member to the scene of any incident for them to actually do anything anyway (given my previous experience of them).

Eh? Sorry, but St Johns immediately saw the crowd gesticulating and rushed to the back of the Kop.

I thought the team needed the crowd behind them tonight more than we was. QPR hit us with a proper bombardment after they dragged it back to 2-1.

The old bloke who sits in front of me was an absolute fucking embarrassment with the shit coming from his mouth. It took less than 15 minutes for him to start banging on about Lundstram and Duffy, and as the match wore on, he got Lee Evans in his sights as well.

Total cunt
I was there tonight , and clearly don’t go as much as I’d like due to geographical constraints.

I was in the BLUT and was surprised by the , well, screeching from the SS when we were managing their spell in the second half , sometimes not pretty but keeping our shape.

That said , the LEON chant which followed him making their bloke shank it out on 93 minutes was brilliant and worth the 580 round trip on it’s own.

See you at Craven Cottage if not before!

Just on that point - Jamal's time wasting was to perfection haha :tumbleweed:

Was really winding the QPR fans up. At least we now know the schools in London have got them counting to 16. No songs just lots of counting. Brilliant.

A lot of our fans today were an embarsssment. I genuinely felt sorry for the players. We are winning 2-1 at home and we moan like mad when they had momentum and we lost the ball.

We can kill players confidence here like there’s no tomorrow.

Rushed? Had a clear view from the JSS and was shocked at how slow they were to react. Hope the guy is ok.

They responded immediately and no way would it have been quicker for someone to go from the back of the kop to the front and bring them back.

The lad is ok but at hospital, his friends have posted on Jason’s Facebook page, as for the negativity, again none around me were negative at all, but you can excuse the nerves, just a thought, is wilder trying to get a plan where we see games out, does anybody seriously think we can go hell for leather for the whole 90 and not get caught out on the break.... i was crapping myself though and five fucking minutes....from where ?

Whoever the tossers were that was whistling before we scored when we actually had possession....hang your heads in shame you c**nts!

And what was amazed at the amount of abuse Donaldson was getting, fair enough he wasn’t amazing when he came on, but let’s not turn on one of our own players
I think you should apologise to all the ‘so called’ tosses at the back of the cop, perhaps it should be you who hangs his head in sham :(

theres no doubting we have some of footballs most huber critical fans
unless we are thrashing the pants off all and sundry we are failing in some eyes

we are back in a higher level against clubs thats had years in here , so should mete out a bit of slack

but we find that many scape goats we could merchandise feta cheese by the ton

lets enjoy the 3 points, god knows weve not had our reward in other games weve been better in

An ungrateful, entitled crowd. Who seem to have taken a vow of silence.

Only the right side of the Kop made any effort whatsoever tonight. Everywhere else was pitiful.

Those of you who stand at the back of the Kop with no intention of contributing to vocal support..... just fuck off somewhere else.

I didn't think the crowd was that bad?!? The only time they got agitated was when we were constantly losing the one on ones after they scored but also giving their midfield far too much time on the ball. Think the team needed that kick up the arse and the crowd came around by the end

Once the midfield had dropped deep we spent a solid ten minutes under pressure, where we were just giving them the ball back time after time.

Would love to see one of those tossers call him a Chelsea rent boy to his face.
I didn't ear any whistling ,just for the record.

I did hear some serious abuse to Duffy most of the game from some twats around me in the SS - not sure where these fans have been the last 18 months.
He has been excellent for a long time, but that doesn't mean he can escape critique when he doesn't play well. Felt like he was biding against qpr and making very little impact. Did look to me tho that he was limping a bit

Happy to see there was a good reason for the whistling, assumed it was aimed at the team at first.

I suggest that those idiots slagging players off etc are amongst the 6 or 7 thousand that weren't with us whilst we were in league one.

As stated before, Those that find it a necessity to leave with over 20 minutes to go. As Paul Walker would say Unbelievable. Around me was quiet until the last 5 minutes of injury time, and where did that come from. Bit worrying that QPR found it quite easy to get crosses in from the left, but Blackman was Immense last night. Makes me think does Moore come straight back into the team. Who'd be Chrissy Wilder. Loved is after match Interview. Brilliant.

The most said phrase at the lane has to be "get it forward" and then a groan and sigh when it goes back to a full back.

Get Bassett footy back.

The team played the occasion last night but the result was more important than the display (which was poor for the most part)

However you would think that the exerts of the previous 18months would buy some patience and loyalty.

On to Hull where will need to play much better to pick up points.

Someone was taken ill on the Kop and the whistles were fans trying to get the stewards'/St John' attention. Hope the person is ok. the fans were more concerned about a fan's well being than the game.
Agreed, it was likely this that the OP was referring to.

I thought I was missing something with the game, then saw all the stewards running up gangway G of the Kop, so knew it was either someone ill or a fight had broke out.

It's the same at every club but there are some people who watch us who know so little about football. I'm surprised some of them know the Goalkeeper is allowed to use his hands

It certainly is. Think there are any crowds that have a 'wall of noise' every home game? No. Midweek winter matches are a bit of a pain but we'll put up with them once we get to the sunny uplands in April.

Over 25k v dull opposition will do for me.
That crowd was over 1k more than Wendy got v Derby last Tuesday. Derby are one of the more attractive teams in this division, they're challenging for promotion, it's fairly nearby and they usually bring a good following. QPR aren't, aren't, aren't and don't.

Stop moaning!

going to happen at this level , we are playing teams with decent players the only difference between most sides is the application and spirit
theres periods of games we will need to hang on , but thats why CW brought in more grafters
got to hold what we have in some games

I sat on the upper tier. Trust me to go there when it is the sponsored silence.

Great view..... not a lot of atmosphere

The fans were a disgrace last night. The moans and groans from the fans were beyond a joke.

Amazing how so many people in the stands are so quick to moan but very slow to congratulate.

I was at the back of the kop with the little un and as usual everyone was getting behind the team. My lad wanted to go nearer the pitch as he couldn't see that well and I quickly noticed more people moaned further down and you could hear every groan of a miss placed pass. Think I'll stick to back of kop in future.
