I think part of the issue when the chips are down is that you look to have players to take the game by the scruff of the neck.
For me then I’d be looking at the following for Reading:
Foderingham
Basham Egan Robinson
Baldock Doyle Norwood McAtee Osborn
McBurnie Ndiaye
I see the likes of Bogle, Lowe and Berge as confidence players but when you hear the likes of Doyle, Baldock and McAtee speak, they are naturally driven.
Until there is more confidence in the team I’d be looking at this XI against Reading.
Doyle showed he can step up and McAtee is no shrinking violet.
Get two wins this week and it will go a long way to settling nerves but you need those with the biggest heart to get you through this period.
