Need a striker

Lunny needs to go, or keep him on bench. Sharp and mcbernie don't do it for me sorry to say. When I see them in starting line up before games, I think 'oh ffs. We can't start them against teams like wolves. I don't know what's up with mousset but it's time for the gaffer to give him a kick up arse and tell him to fix up. He really should be starting every game don't need him to be a bit part player this season. If that's the case we may aswell ship him off to a French league 1 team. If we do get another striker he's got to tick a few boxes and be able to get into the team straight away and not bed him in until Christmas.

Is brewster the right type though I thought we were too static although fleck was unlucky

Burke might've opened it up with his pace, but can he score??

Think you're confusing FACT with your personal hatred of McBurnie pal. Not took long for it to surface again has it.

What's he done wrong in your opinion tonight? (Providing he's only just returned to training from injury)
Played crap is what he did wrong, so what if he's just started training from injury. He gets enough money to justify that. And to be fair he didn't really light up the place much last season to say how much he was.

Can I spin that by asking, and be specific, what you believe he did well ?

Please don’t generalise. Be specific. E.g.Minute 7 excellent movement control and pass to X......

Im obviously missing something.

Also, Been accused Of having rose tinteds when it comes to our other striker.

Not one jot.

He will increasingly play a reduced part and in the not too distant, become part of our past. Inevitable and am perfectly comfortable with it.

What I’m not comfortable with is a player who appears to be centric in our plans for the future who, bluntly, doesn't have the tools.

Concerning !!!

UTB

Infighting again over personal opinions ffs if you don't like what other peoples opinions are don't comment simples

There's no coincidence that those two started tonight.

Wilder has previous with showcasing what he is lacking, to suggest to the board to get a deal over the line for what he needs. Evans for Norwood, comes to mind.

Tonight, he had an injured Mousset, a raw Burke, a McGoldrick whom hadn't trained and then Sharp and McBurnie. He needs someone willing to run the channels and able to change the game. He was playing a side that shows he needs more.

Like the rest of the team tonight? They all get paid plenty of money, what's the rest of the teams excuses for their poor performance tonight? Trying to suggest someone should be 100% match fit within days because they earn a few quid is bonkers.

I'm in no way saying he was excellent tonight, far from it, like the rest of them.

He won his fair share of duels with defenders, but there's not a lot this kind of striker can do when balls into him can't beat the first man. Strikers need help, the strikers that create something from nothing are way out of our reach.

Two occasions in the second half, good movement from Billy got him in behind, followed by woeful end product (the same when he had to just square it 5 yards for lunny to tap in).
He got one good chance tonight, beat the keeper but Saiss read the danger and cleared it off the line.

You play McBurnie with Sharp, you're fighting an uphill battle from the very first minute. We won't see the best of McBurnie until we get him adequate support.

I'd he's not the answer, who is? He's the best of a low end prem bunch at the moment, hopefully we can improve our options before the end of the window.

So he throws away 3 points by choosing not to bring on his new boy Burke ?
If I were t'Prince I'd ask him why I've paid for Burke if he's not gonna use him when we're 2 down at home !
Many questions for CW tonight.
Why have old git Jags on bench when you have Ampadu to cover CB ?
Why have neither of your new wing-backs in squad ?
Why not give Burke a try ?
Why play useless uncommitted Lunny + not your 22m man Berge ?
Why play McB & Sharp combo which has never worked ?
Fuck me , there's plenty Wilder could have done to improve that sack of shit performance.
And if we're talking about strengthening , why has he bought 3 outfield players + 2 don't make the 18 + 1 can't even get on from bench when he's said he wants power + pace up front ?

I'm thinking he went with his best, most settled side who know one another and the system, the best amongst themselves. Let's not forget that the new boys have been in the building around a week and haven't had chance to play in that time. He's played a side that risks minimal changes in the hope of getting something from the game.

I do agree that he should've chucked Burke on towards the end though, for Sharp. What we were doing wasn't working and there was nowt to lose.
