Opening game of the season saw the two promotion favourites paired against each other.

Now as we are approaching the end of the season, one of them Bristol Titty is nearly 30 points ahead of the other candidate, us!

30 point difference tells a story. Poor management on-and-off the pitch, more on the pitch than off resulting in poor signings, centre-half & centre forward debacle, puzzling tactics, poor home performance and inconsistency throughout the season.

Unsure why we seem to have a monopoly on poor decision making!

Based on what? We didn't look like a team going up last night.Especially as we were playing a team already down.
Because we have an equal chance of winning as the other 3 teams all of which we have beat at some point this season, yes they have performed better this season overall but none of that matters anymore, the squad is up for it so is clough and in those last 3 games we will see the best come out of us and win.

Not true. Just because we are one of four teams does not make it a one in four chance of winning. In fact, far from it, considering the difference in quality between us and the two above!

Doesn't really answer the question but I can't fault your optimism my friend.

It tells as much a story about Bristol City as it does about us. They've had a fantastic season, made some key signings and showed amazing team spirit.

Results-wise our season hasn't been up to expectations, but it hasn't been absolutely dreadful. If it wasn't for a couple of freak results, (and the Ched debacle which no one could have anticipated), we could have been pressing for second place.

VIDEO: Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough questions Blades’ desire after defeat to Yeovil

Could Clough in that statement also be questioning himself .When performances like the one last night , managers do sometimes come to realise they have taken a club as far as he can , hence poor performances from the playing staff . May not be the case at BDTBL , but sure seems like it . Lets see if we buck the trend yet again on Saturday . If not , there is no smoke without fire. Desire in any walk of life is a two way street , and are the blades playing in the managers image . I don't think for one minute , they are playing the way they are , to get him the sack .When we should be up for the play offs , there does seem apathy and negativity creeping in . No wonder us fans don't know from week to week if we are coming or going . ( perhaps its the same for the players ) . More sad than frustrated or annoyed with all this , as non of us want us to blow it.

What struck me last night watching BC's first goal go in on SSN was the desire to put the ball in the back of the net after it was in the six yard box.

Reminded me of us under Warnock, something that is missing from our current crop.

man city have spent 700m and are 12 points behind chelsea , thats disappointing
we have spent 2 m and if we win play offs are as well off as bristol city
comparing us to bristol city is utterly meaningless

its like me asking putney blade why hes not as wealthy or good looking as George Clooney

I reckon that "desire" you mention, and it was abundantly clear for all to see last night, particularly second half, in large part comes with confidence. We have confidence coursing through our veins right now. It's a pity there are only 3 games left.

Confidence is such a slippery thing, but when you've got it, it is amazing what you can do. You lot had it in the cup earlier this season, I would say?

A team in 5th place, with inconsistent results, will not be anywhere near as confident, and that will effect everything they do. Throw in tension and it all becomes a lot harder. That's what I reckon, anyway.

We're only a few games away from getting thrashed by Wolves (and others) again! Oh well....

"Bristol Titty" - we've won every Tuesday night league game this season, 9 I think, 28 goals for, 3 conceded. So, we're thinking of renaming ourselves Bristol Tuesday FC. What do you lot think of that? Tits??
