Neal Maupay

Personally I find it hilarious, ITK, espionage where can you get that for free, not long now for 200

I can't wait for him to goto brighton at page 200 just so I can quote the first 6 words of the first post on the first page

Still prefer McBurnie. I think he offers more variety.

Maupay is like a slightly quicker, but less clinical version of Billy, though he's even smaller.

McBurnie is more of a physical handful but can still score those scruffy goals.

I also think Roofe might add more to our mix than Maupay. We have a pacey option now in Robinson.

Ffs we get it. Whoever gets Maupay will be bowing down to you and paying what you want. You are superior negotiators, tough and strong. Backing down to no one. And not just that. Banana might as well be the manager and owner wrapped into one he’s so tapped in. RC knows nothing, he just gives himself outs in case he’s wrong. The banana is all-knowing.

Christ. Broken f*cking record. Our lad was making a post speculating who RC actually is and then off you pop playing Brentford bingo.

To be fair if you sold your best players every season, you’re going to have to buy into rhetoric like that. ;)

Interesting if so...

Billy is fast approaching 34. Whether we like it or not we need his replacement in before it’s too late. I expect him to play a part and given every chance but we still need alternatives in the same mould

FFS...So Brentford Haven’t offered him a pay rise and longer contract?
So they want to sell him then??

What a bloody circus this is. United should just publicly withdraw from all negotiations and give exact details of what’s gone on. Because we certainly want to sign him, we appear for once to want to pay what the club wants yet it’s going on and on.

It’s a championship striker here, he isn’t the new next best thing heading to winning the ballon dor!. He’s a good player but not a world beater. We aren’t nipping a young player from under the noses of a champions league club here, he’s been well watched by lots of clubs and had lots of exposure. No big clubs are interested!!

We are looking to pay the going rate for a championship top goal scorer with age on his side to improve and become premier league standard.
If there’s no decision by Monday lunchtime then move on. I’m sure there are plenty who will offer similar or more for similar or likely less money

Maupay is a decade younger than Billy. Like it or not, Billy has no more right to a start than anybody else. Some people really need to come to terms with that reality.

I`m not too sure Leeds rate Roofe good enough for the Championship. From what I`ve seen of him, admittedly not a great deal, it`s a no from me.

I think McBurnie is a better replacement than Maupay for Billy longer term. But I also think he adds more to the mix short term.

Maupay I can see buggering off after a season. I can see McBurnie settling down for longer up north.

I can see that. I’m hoping for both but can understand your reasons. We will still need one more multi-million striker though or we’re going to be too short.

Don't care if he does bugger off after a season if he's helped keep us up.
We will have made a nice profit on him.

You're confusing an act of faith with an act of fact. Offer something that can show why/how your god exists and you might have a genuine intellectual discussion, but otherwise the presumption included in your post just underlines the pomposity that seems integral to organised religion.

In response, can you provide anything that proves you're right, other than repeating the same laborious and ineffective question?
I’m not confusing the two, the bee fella is telling us to believe him without evidence and then says it is a fact. Belief in god does not need evidence as it relies on you having faith in it, a bit like the bee chap. Until I’m given the evidence I have very little faith in bee’s ‘evidence’ as it lacks anything I can test it against.

I'll be distraught if we went for Roofe.
He's so average I can't beleive he gets anywhere near Leeds' squad never mind first team!!
Don't think we'll get Maupay and wouldn't be that arsed if we could get say a Marriott or Assombalonga instead (or even Gayle on loan maybe If necessary).
Think McBurnie should be the main target and would fit into our team, style and culture perfectly so he's the one I've really got my fingers crossed for.
But please, let's not go waste money on shite like Roofe (fully appreciate that CWAK are capable of turning water into wine but this would be a step too far - even for those 2!).

Think if it was my choice, it would be McBurnie for me, not that I don't rate Maupay, I do, but McBurnie is a real handful, tall, fast and strong, with skill.

Always been a right thorn in our side, every time he’s played against us, so I agree.

I'd rather we went for Marriott over Maupay to be honest (but that's as well as McBurnie - I'm greedy😁). Not sure what it'd cost to prize him away from Derby (or wether they'd actually sell him) but if the price was right I'd see him as possibly more of a potential / future Sharp replacement and still at a good age as well.
Saying that Derby would probably turn round and give it the "£20M and he's yours" speech too so . . . . . . .

Maupay is the better player IMO, but if he's having his head turned then he isn't right for us. I want a potential new signing to crawl up the M1 over broken glass to get to BDTBL.

Maupay all day long, he has the better technical ability and pace needed to make the step up, perfect replacement for Sharp..when

If its right what RC says (& he’s reliable) that CW spoke to Maupay on Saturday then its up to the player. If he doesnt want to play for us that’s his choice. IMO he’d be better off with us than anywhere else playing under CW so I guess it comes down to whether he’s more bothered about money.

Things he will factor in to come to a disscission are:

  • Salary
  • Guaranteed starting place
  • Location
  • League status
  • Club stability in the Prem
  • Team style and tactics

Glad that I ain't got to choose for him.
