Heads up, thinking outside the box with some blue sky thinking here. Going forward it's a no brainer that if you drill down and employ some joined up thinking that might bring to the table then it's a game changer for us some best practices

The helicopter view is that it's a win/win situation, as our strategic staircase means you will have to reach out with the benchmark valuation to get your low hanging fruit. It's a no brainer! Remember, it's like punching a puppy - unpopular but necessary. Peel the onion, ping you later, it's on my radar!

A little coherence would be helpful too.....,plain English fella, never fails to impress.

It's funny that I was saying exactly that last night (about 12 o clock when I was pissed)

Billy Sharp scored more headed goals in the champ last season than anyone else, I'm reliably informed. Its not about height, it's about movement and delivery.

Aye that's a fair point but also it's not only about having a forward who can head into the goal but holding the ball up, flicking the ball on. Billy's undoubtedly good at holding it up too but I think McBurnie would add much to our forward line. People will say that's hoof ball but we do plenty of direct balls (as well as those on the deck) that benefit someone a bit taller like McBurnie or last season Madine. We've still got McGoldrick of course too.

Seriously, I’ve lost track but why the flying fuck does it matter if there have been any bids or not? Maupay is going regardless. 😃

Unless you are Peter Crouch, all defenders are pretty much as tall, or taller than attackers. I stand by my assertion. I would also throw in to the equation actual heading ability, ie to be able to head powerfully and accurately.
Fair do’s Mark I don’t want to get into an argument about it but if you are honest you have to accept that none of what you say counters anything I said. Being taller and good in the air doesn’t stop you being good on the ball, if you are old enough to have seen Deano you will understand what I mean. My understanding and admittedly limited knowledge of McBurnie is that he Is a powerful header of the ball and fairly accurate, being taller as well is just a further advantage. If you don’t agree with this well I really don’t think I will convince you. UTB

Official bids aren’t often submitted until the buying club have spoken to the agent and are sure they can agree a deal with the player. Hence why just about every transfer offer that is accepted never falls down when negotiating terms - it’s pretty much agreed beforehand

Hats off to your dealer mate. That’s top quality shit he supplies 😵

Sky now reporting he’s on his way........somewhere premier “clubs” interested.

In principle I agree, but the point I was trying to make is that's a long way from being only about how tall you are. Madine you would think, should score plenty of headers, but he doesn't.

Sky stating that us, Villa, Brighton and West Ham are the interested teams

We do all the hard work then West Ham casually nip in and complete a deal in about 2 hours.

Yep, could see that happening.

No doubt he could get more money elsewhere. But it should be obvious to him that we want him most and he'd be a key player here.

If he goes elsewhere for the money, so be it, I won't lose any sleep about it. There are alternatives.

We will be too far into these negotiations to just back out, we might not get him but we’ll go down fighting. I’m still hoping we can pull this off.

so frustrating if not us. We were the first to go for him by the sound of things,
