Neal Maupay

just tried to find that Deadbat, but can't find it on Sky Sports? I've not trawled through the full days worth of stores that said on their site.

It was on the ticker thing tonight at the bottom

Was explaining that that on sky sports news this morning. They prepare a bid and can negotiate with player and agent and discuss fees with the club then when they've done all the working out they make an official bid.
That's what I understood as well. So we could be at the negotiating with the club stage or we might not even be in for him at all !!!

More words from me here contributing about as much as 99% of the posts on this thread

Sky Sports saying no bids in for him at all tonight? They dont tend to make things up like the tabloids and had the Freeman story quite early on.

Semantics of little or no consequence. Does anyone really doubt that talks are going on?

I can’t believe how many people have got themselves in a ‘tis over so many different things on one thread, it’s laughable. 🤣

Maupay won’t be signing whilst he’s training with his club in a foreign country whilst at the same time we are doing the start of our pre season in a different foreign country, it won’t be happening, not this week anyway.

Also, if Maupay does come it doesn’t matter one iota what the transfer fee is, Wilder will only bring him in if it means he can do other things with the budget and he thinks he’s good enough. That’s all that should matter surely, it’s not a dick waving contest (thankfully in my case) 🙈🤣

Think there was too much smoke not to be in for for him. Still probably negotiating. Freeman took an age to go through probably same reasons

But they haven't refused to sell
To utilise your (bollocks) analogy should "the glove wearing owners club" flog the cherished "sportster model" for less than its worth / their valuation, particularly when the "next model" isn't even 'in production' and indeed the 'current model' appears to be very effective, indeed massively successful given th
They appear to have a successful formula of making ends meet by producing a constant run of players, found at a reasonable price, polishing them a bit and maximising their return . Turning over more income than is possible from a small ground and not massive crowds. It’s quite brilliant really. But it can’t be held up because some of their small but loyal following. Who , as we would, don’t like to see favourite players depart. Not for peanuts, but for bloody good fees. All this quoting accounts, and supposed ITK transfer fees won’t stop it happening. We should know. Players belong to agents now by the look of things. Clubs just hope to have the right players at the right time for long enough to move forward , before top players move upwards and those not seen to improve the progress move downwards. The clubs also need cash flow. Have we got enough cash to pay the upfront instalments? Have we virtually agreed a deal and are waiting for the cash to be made available. It’s a process none if us on this forum can influence in any way. It’s all bollocks. But it is addictive bollocks.

Sat in the lion, had my dinner, waited with a shandy, and........fuck all, no Maupay, no Austin, no Mcburnie, so I've come home to watch wheeler dealers.

Until tomorow...........

Can we establish if we have made a bid for Maupay or not.

Brentford confirm Jansson signing. Also rumoured to be after Denmark’s U21 captain Mathias Jensen for €4m.

What a coup.

With signings like this they're making themselves serious contenders, whether they sell Maupay or not.

It looks like a very open division and could be a golden opportunity for them.

Raya, Jansson and Pinnock as a defensive base is an immense improvement and exactly what they needed.

But I maintain they're not doing all this business without selling someone for good money in this window.

Can we snatch Konsa as well then?

Think is, they could sell Maupay for 15m...and probably buy a more than capable replacement for 2/3m
