NDiaye, what a player we have on our hands. For now.
Coming up to the World Cup, during the World Cup, and now after the World Cup, he has been sublime. The fact he has yet to sign a new contract is worrying. It hints to me that his agent has irons in the fire elsewhere.
He is the spark that gets us going. When we need that touch of class he's there with it. His pass for our opener yesterday showed that.
My worry is that history shows we always sell our best players. Even when we are on course to go up. Fijortoff and Dean being a prime example.
I believe NDiaye will be an even bigger miss if he goes.
What do people think? Will he go or stay? And if he goes how much do you think he'll go for?

A clearly out of sorts Berge , I think will stay. Anel, hopefully too.I

If we lose NDiaye I think we 'll struggle to go up.

Think we will be lucky if we hold on to him, and it think his agents are hoping for a move too?

If he (and his agent) are smart he'd be best off staying. He's absolutely dominating this division (especially after the World Cup) and if he keeps going at this rate he'll have us promoted and 20 goals and assists for himself. He could get a huge move and huge money.

You'd like to think there's a bit of sentiment and loyalty involved too, but even if it is just all about money it'd make sense to stay too rather than cashing in (or rather cashing out) and going to a middling Premier League club in January.

We need to remember, were hoping to be a self subsidising club too, and losing Illy for free isn't our best option should it come down to it.

If he does I hope it’s someone who sees him as a longer term prospect and loans him back for the rest of the season.

If it’s an Everton, Southampton, Wolves etc he’d be bought in with the sim to help keep them up.

My gut feeling says he’ll be staying 1 because he looks like he’s loving it but also from the boards view, we’re 8pts clear of 3rd it would be bad business to risk selling him because whatever the price, realistically, the size of the prize is greater

He will stay because of the free items he gets from flannels at Meadowhall 😂😂

Can't see a situation where he goes in January, either through us wanting to sell or someone big enough coming in for him that he downs tools until he's sold.

The big crossroads will be in the summer. If we don't go up then 100% he leaves. If we do go up we need to get him signed to a new contract the day promotion is won. Make him the best paid player at the club as one decent season in the premier league and we're looking at a £50m player minimum.

If or when he eventually goes it will be to a huge club because they’re the only ones who’ll be able to afford him. Whenever that day arrives, when he goes, it will be a sad day as these talents are rare at our club, he will be world class!

My guess is he will wait for the right move, two months ago this would have been a Wolves, Palace, Brighton type club. Now he will be looking for an Arsenal, Newcastle or even a city / Liverpool with a loan back.

Hope we get to keep him for the rest of the season, but a 40m offer and 18 months and he will go. (the potential takeover will have all this factored in, if it is happening).

I think he’ll stay in January unless we get a crazy bid, but I’m almost sure he’ll be gone in the summer even if we go up. Without being tied to a longer contract there’s no way we can afford to keep him although there is an argument that says if he kept us in the premier league in 23/24 it might be worth it. Main thing for me is to enjoy the privilege of seeing him in a red and white shirt with a smile on his face and tearing teams in this division apart for as long as it lasts. I think he’s now arguably a better player than MGW was this time last season, he’s definitely more influential on the way we play than Brooks was, we are almost certainly watching someone who will win trophies at a top 6 premiership team.

Problem is now his reputation has spread , but you cant keep a player like illy under the radar , he's a fantastic player , a player you pay to watch , a player that can turn the match in a 10 second blast , I honestly think that a lower Prem club like Palace will come for him , our only hope is that he will hold out for a bigger club , or we give him more money now and hope we go up and he stops with us a little longer .

This is a comment made by a Coventry fan at the match yesterday -

"Thought we were lucky to get in at half time only 1-0 down. That Ndiaye is some player, definitely will be playing regularly in the Premier league in the next couple of years! Once we missed the penalty it was going to be a tough afternoon but thought Sheffield United were one of the best teams I've seen this year. We might have nicked something if we were more clinical but that's the difference!"

With a new owner in the pipeline! Can't see him going in January.
Prince selling up means a new owner would surely want our best players staying for now.
Whoever he is must be better eelled than the prince so selling our crown jewels would be counter
productive.
Would look good ! Blades new owner sells there best player ! Can't happen surely.
This kid at his rate of progress will be worth 50 million plus

No I think he will stay. He is on a win - win situation, Stay with us and try to get us back in the Premier league we're his value goes up and gets the money he deserves from us. Or he get the contract he deserves next year with another club, if we fail. I think he has to much respect for hecky and the club to bomb out in January.

We should not be thinking of moving anyone on… period.

We need to consolidate by adding 2/3 signings in key areas.

It is in no one’s interest for him to leave in January.
he will stay until the end of the season and either sign a new contract with a release clause and / or guarantee of a move to a club of a certain stature if we are in the premiership. If we do not get promoted he will be moved on.

If we weren't in such a strong league position it'd be a lot harder to hang on. There's no way he's going unnoticed. This is his first season as an established first teamer and he's showing consistently that teams at this level can't handle him.

Being a few points clear of third we're in a good position to convince him that it's absolutely silly money or stay put, I hope.

Does he get free stuff there because the club and flannels are about to be owned by the same person? 👀

You’ve got to assume that someone will make a tempting but not quite tempting enough offer. Any less than £30m and it’s not even worth considering, £30m or more and it will be hard for the club to turn down.

I’d expect Boreham Wood will be on a chunky % as well.
