Must admit I never watch any foreign league footy but do watch prem games so be nice to see him perform, just a shame it’ll never be with us again.

Not that I think we could afford him, but did we put a first refusal in the terms when we sold him? I'm sure I read that somewhere.
Even if we did have such a clause (we might do) and even if we could afford him (we can’t), it would be no use because he wouldn’t come back to play in the championship for us especially given that were effectively brassic and our wages must be peanuts compared with Everton.

Sad times.

Some are bitter, me also a little bit, but he will make a difference at Everton..

Or he will flop again like we saw last season in france - we got our 20M didn't we, because we needed it, because the owner is skint.

If this goes through, I think a small piece of my love for Football will die. I can begrudgingly accept that he left us for his boyhood club but to jump ship, less than a year later, to a fucking poncy PL also ran outfit is beyond the pale. I don't really blame him, it's the fucking sport/agents/money. Wank stains.

Binned off the club that made and adored him to secure his ‘dream move’ despite the chance of PL football. Him and his advisers went about it the wrong way (convincing us he was staying and then doing the 11th hour u-turn) and left us in the shit, but I accepted the circumstances. After all it was now or never for him, apparently. But to then go to fucking EVERTON 12 months later? Nah not having that, fuck him and his advisors.

It hasn’t really worked out for him at Marseilles and they are happy for him to leave.

Take away the points deductions and Everton were mid-table under Dyche.

Even with Iliman we were never making the investment to support the advancement of the team anyway. Probably still have gone down. I would rather have kept him though.

If they sell DCL for more they drop on Illi then it’s decent business but them..

Also fuck Everton

My heart will break a little if this goes through.

I could just about accept last summer as truly devastating as it was, because it was his childhood dream. Seeing the footage of him arriving on France was utterly rubbish.

But now this?

I'd have rather lost him for free and seen him have a go for us last season in the Prem.

In a nutshell. Essentially the reason why Ndiaye and Berge made the right choice by leaving.

Could be all sorts of reasons. The current rise of anti Muslim sentiment in France might have an impact. Good article on that in The Times today, large numbers who can afford to are leaving.
Yeah that would be why. lol

To be fair it was Hecky who got the best from him wasn't there a contract row when Wilder was first here and he wouldn't play him? Appreciate he went on to become brilliant for us.

He was frozen out because he wouldn't sign a new contract .Wilder had him training with the 1st team, when Wilder left Hecki continued Ndiah's progress and he had a cameo at Leicester(0-5).
He disappeared then for the reason I stated! The serb benefited from Ndiah obviously signing a new deal and the rest is history
I reckon it was the Prince who stopped Ndiah playing until he signed a new contract.A situation which came back to haunt us .

So 20m means we don't see a penny from the sell-on clause? Brilliant.

At face value he went to chase a dream. You could say he did it as he did play and score for Marseille.

He's also now off to an established PL side. So not lost much.

But the bit that disappoints me is that Marseille threw everything at him going there and it worked. And now they are happy to cut him off after less than 12 months.

And if he knew that this time last year he might have just signed that contract. I genuinely think that N'Diaye staying would have made some difference.
Probably still wouldn't have stayed up but we may well have picked up few more wins. And been less embarrassed.

For a start we would have a player that thrived in our setup and had that bit of match winning quality too.

The morale would not have been through the floor before the season started too.

He would then still be leaving this summer but the price tag likely higher and destination as well ...

AHH well.

Evertonian in peace.

Don't worry lads we'll look after him.

Hopefully he'll be enjoying some mid table finishes come the near future.

Always liked your mob and the City of Sheffield,Great boozers.

Just a massive shame you got taken over by the poorest Arab in the Middle East.

Come on Ron...we're founder members of the Football League, one of the most historic clubs in English Football.

Don't lump us in with The Fulham's and the Brighton's of the world.

;)

Just a reflection of the apathy I feel for the supposed Promised Land. The comment about your relative 'size' was more a reflection that, IMO, Illi is good enough to play at the very top, as opposed to stagnating in midtable indifference. FWIW, Goodison is the nicer side of the park ;)

And it’s stuff like this happening that should stop you from allowing a player to move on his timetable rather than yours and screw up your plans at the last minute.

We really got hosed there.

Two things

1 Don’t play him as a winger. He’s not a winger

2 Please sell DCL asap
