Looks like Everton are in again for Illiman Ndiaye for £20M.
Will they get him for that?
Does he want to leave Marseille?
Does he want to play for Everton?
Can Everton even sign him with a takeover in the offing?

I'd have thought he'd be a good replacement for Eze or Olise at Palace, and has previously been linked with them

Don't we have a clause saying that we get first refusal on him when they sell him?

Not saying we would or could mind

Everton are still fucked, so how and why would they spend £20mill... on a player that's just made 46 appearances for his boyhood club in a country he's just moved back to at a club that clearly value him more than Twitter might suggest.

Yes apparently so but we would have to match the asking price and he would have to agree to come back.

Say in the hypothetical scenario we get taken over and are minted. Palace bid £25m, our new owners match it Ndiaye still needs to then chose championship football over the prem.

These questions—and many others—will be answered in the next episode of ...….

Did we just bend over?
Suppose he was in his final year but even so.

Id expect if he did leave them this summer though it's not going to be much above 20m.

And yet his stock this time last year if he was under more than 12 months contracted would have been above 30m.

If this goes through, I think a small piece of my love for Football will die. I can begrudgingly accept that he left us for his boyhood club but to jump ship, less than a year later, to a fucking poncy PL also ran outfit is beyond the pale. I don't really blame him, it's the fucking sport/agents/money. Wank stains.

Not that I think we could afford him, but did we put a first refusal in the terms when we sold him? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

I feel the same, not even a “good” PL team and by all accounts not even a big fee. Makes last seasons embarrassments feel worse weirdly.

I thought Palace would’ve gone back for him with Olise off (slightly better than Everton) but just didn’t expect him to move from OM so soon tbh
Could be all sorts of reasons. The current rise of anti Muslim sentiment in France might have an impact. Good article on that in The Times today, large numbers who can afford to are leaving.
