Blimey that season long loan went well...he only joined 1 July, and left 3 weeks later.

I would imagine that both he and Gillingham have come to a decision to terminate the deal quickly as perhaps he has realised just how far away Kent is. He isca northern lad and probably wants to play up north and nearer his family in the north east, hence a possible loan to Carlisle.

This is not the first time Gillingham FC have abducted young players, drugged them, and forced them to sign a contract. Problem is, when the drugs wear off they want out of there. And who can blame them? It is the Chav capital of the South East. Bit more detail. He's got a young family and didn't want to be so far from home. One has to question whether he looked at a map before agreeing to join Gillingham but it appears he'll be going back to Carlisle.

When we signed him, I thought he looked a real find, but for whatever reason, it hasn't worked out for him. I seem to recall there were possibly issues about his work ethic and was one of those players that would do something amazing for 1 minute, but go missing for the other 89.

THOMAS RETURNS TO CARLISLE
Carlisle have acted quickly to re-sign Sheffield United midfielder Nathan Thomas on a season-long loan.
The 24-year-old spent the second half of last term on loan at the League Two club, making 16 appearances, but opted to join League One Gillingham this time around.
However, after failing to settle in Kent, Thomas had his spell at the Gills cut short and has now returned to Brunton Park.
