I was up in the stand that day at Leicester, behind the goal we were attacking first half, and I have a vivid mental picture of Wilder being the first to get to Paul Wood after Wood had scored the equaliser. Slid in on his backside, as I recall, joy all over his face.

In the end, he'll stand or fall on results but having a manager who cares about the club and knows what it means to the fans can't be a bad thing, can it?
