My take ...

This whole situation is like a bad dream, the same thing is happening again just like in 2017 but the teams have switched, pigs are pissing league 1, we're bottling it and on a serious slippery slope. I just pray to the footballing gods that we sort this out because I couldn't cope with them twats giving us something like we gave them on the 24th September 2017.

Come on blades, get fucking stuck in.

We scored 2 away from home and had chances to score more….but to give 3 away is well below what a promotion team should be doing.

First goal - just not tracking the player who runs across you. Basic and just a lack of acknowledgment of the threat.

Second goal - miles away from a challenge.

Third goal - Needs no explanation (except from our defenders).

It’s basic errors through a lack of care, apathy and desire (?) to not concede.

Needs fixing.

We were second best against a team up for a scrap and looking to play the ref at every opportunity - and he obliged. What is blindingly obvious is we don’t have a leader at the back. Egan, our captain, should be leading by example but was lucky to get 1/10 from pommps. His positioning for the third wouldn’t be out of place on a school pitch. Robinson gets stuck in but doesn’t command the defence. Bogle and Lowe are too quiet and don’t seem to be enjoying their game over the past few weeks. Someone needs to take the defence by the scruff of the neck but it seems don’t have anyone capable.

All in all we probably deserved a point at best. Two defeats on the bounce and slowly the gap is closing. It’s up to Hecky to get the mindset right or we will be slipping into play-off territory.

Can he do it ??

And the Berge scapegoating returns.

It was nice to have a week off at least.

Instead of doing your usual 'Waaaagh!' shit about Berge, why don't you take some time and join the discussion and indicate what he did today which permits your comfort blanket around him? Face it, since he's been here, he's either been injured or shown brief flashes of capability. He's never consistently set the game on fire with blistering skill or pace and he's never put a fat challenge in, won the ball and set us off to score. He dos one game where he features (Swansea) then spends the next few games ambling around seemingly avoiding involvement. And he evades any substitution. In a formation where the midfield three locking in and being the engine room of any success, tell us what he does which makes him such a Sheffield United superstar?

I never said he was a superstar, nor do I have a comfort blanket around him. He is not immune to criticism.

My point is the same as it’s always been, you have your favourites and your scapegoats. That’s your right.

I prefer to look at how a player actually plays and focus on that, instead of highlighting their errors and ignoring their strengths.

And so do many on here. When Berge plays well - a rarity in fact - he gets the praise. Last two games he's played like a non-Leaguer. His involvement given his wasteful transfer fee and reputation has been shockingly wank. This country and its football is not for him. We have burned £20m on him the same as we have burned £20m+ on that other player ... remember him? Rhian Brewster. So much expectation and supposed capability and disappointingly so much shitness.

Unless you saw differently

I didn’t see Berge as being one of our worst players today.

You did, and consistently do, regardless of how he actually performs.

I gave Egan 1/10 and Berge 2/10.

So that's pissed in your chip bag

I also gave Berge more than our lowest marked player v Swansea.

If you think he contributes more, let's see your evidence

VAR would have given Millwall a penalty first half…but yes the ref was wank again. Influenced by the crowd and oblivious to Millwall’s “dark arts” aka “mixing it up”.
That’s twice now we’ve lost what the media calls a pulsating thriller. Getting tiresome.
The big disappointment is that a hard earned point would have steadied the ship.
We were so open and sloppy at the back for that third goal.
Have we forgotten how to shut up shop.
We’re going to need twenty new players like Forest if by chance we still go up.
& Millwall would have had Coope sent off for 2nd yellow with VAR for the foul on Oli Mcb.

Football is a game of oppinions, and the great thing about it is every one should be entitled to their own even if it does conflicts with yours......

And the Berge scapegoating returns.

It was nice to have a week off at least.

There are no scapegoats, just one of the highest paid players underperforming on a regular basis. Be honest, apart from a 15 to 20 minute cameo today he was anonymous AGAIN. Don't get me wrong, when he's on it, his running with the ball is a thing of beauty but sadly, he doesn't look like he has the heart to do it week in week out.

He's not Nick Montgomery, who was a steaming pile of sloppy fucking dogshit, Berge cost a lot, came with a big reputation and hasn't lived up to it. It's that simple

So you’ve not marked him the very lowest every week, I never actually said you did, but well done.

The whole team was anonymous first half, relying on a wonder strike to save our embarrassment.

The sooner our fans get over the price tag the better. The way it gets brought up you’d think he’s held the princes arm and forced a signature.

I brought the price tag up because it should have some relevance to how he performs. Unless you expect multi million pound players to play no better than players who cost fuck all that is.

Foderingham a 6 for not saving a routine near post effort and a well guided but extremely slow header. A top goalkeeper, infact even early season Wes saves that header. But the first one, no excuse, shocking.

The point is it’s used a stick to beat him with. I expect expensive players to play better yes, but to be a stand out every game? No, I don’t expect that.

And probably should’ve given a pen away first half.

The most painful thing about this match - regardless of how poor individuals played. Was the mind numbing pain of retrieving being a goal behind twice to collectively lose discipline a third time and lose the game. Totally unprofessional and fucking gut wrenching to endure.

Literally every football fan supporting any club endures loss and misery but Jesus - United surely right up there at the top of the 'Let you down' League.

what game were you watching berge and egan were the worst 2 players on the pitch bit drastic i know but drop em both and give others a chance go to a back 4 against watford put anel and clark in as the centre backs and play doyle in front of em as the defensive cover that would allow us to push norwood a bit further forward hecky needs to do something or this seasons lost

For a neutral it was a good game its easy to focus on or two results , but I don't think you have as much to worry about as many on here seem to think ,
On 2nd half performance you were probably the best side I've seen at millwall this season , we have I think just about the best home record in the division and even with your 2 goals today only conceded 10 in 15 home games ,
The nerves will jangle but you will be going up automatically boro won't keep winning , and if your next game is watford , they aren't anything special even we did the double over them , good turn out by your fans today its not much fun with a 1230 kick off we had sunderland away at 12noon earlier this season , safe journey home for all those that come down and good luck
