My lad sits on the back of his seat so he can see. I'm directly behind him so it doesn't matter about him blocking anyones view. When we scored he stumbled and lost his footing sending him through the seat which flipped to the upright position. When he clambered out he accidentally caught the girl (approx 14) in front with his foot for which he immediately apologised. Her Grandad went medieval on him shouting at him and the lot. Things calmed down for the second half but he started again at full time.
He pointed at my Lad and said to me "Is he yours?"
He told me to go and sit in the family stand.
My Brother nearly chinned him because he was jabbing his finger in front of his face.
When my lad started crying and shouting at him, he looked astonished and said "Is there something wrong with him?" meaning retarded or something.
I could feel the red mist descending which my brother could see and started dragging me away. The last thing my Son needed to see was his Dad chinning an old bloke and getting banned from the ground. The old fellas son must have seen things deteriorating as well cos he dragged his Dad away.
My Son is one of the most caring kids I know, he's not like some of the scrotes you see trawling the streets nowadays which is what annoyed me the most, he didn't deserve this tirade, especially from someone from the age group I am trying to teach him to respect the most.
Left a sour taste in the mouth and my Son is not as keen on going to the match as he used to be.
If you're on here and you're reading this I hope you're proud of yourself. BUT the reason he wasn't there at the Hartlepool match was nothing to do with you, he wanted to sit with his Uncle who was on his own for a change. He's not going tonight either because he's going to his first Scouts meeting. You won't stop him.
And, because he's so caring he could well end up working in a nursing home so in 8 years time he could well end up wiping your arse.
