For once McCabe take the bull by the horns and sack Adkins now, and before they go somewhere else get either Wilder or Warnock in (that was the plan 2 or 3 months ago) before it's too late. McCabe you were too late in '99 when you were going to appoint Bassett just after he agreed to manage Barnsley, get this one sorted pronto.

Adkins has had a season to sort last season's problems and has failed abysmally ie dominant centre half (still don't have one), effective target man (still don't have one, finished last season with one albeit on a short term contract ie Davis but still much better than this season's effort ie Sammon and much cheaper) and a midfield player with a bit of bite (had a better one last season but not fantastic ie Doyle albeit much better than this season's effort and much cheaper ie Hammond), all three with leadership qualities. All these problems that are obvious to most Blades fans with any knowledge of football would be the first things sorted by Wilder or Warnock.

Well sack the manager and players get away with not performing.

They have not performed well enough under two different managers and with some of our players even under three managers.

Billy Bullshitter has got some sort of pattern of play going over the last 6-8 weeks or so, at long, long last. And it does hold out a bit of hope for the future.

But is it enough? And is there enough heart & fight there? And is all this getting the club shipshape behind the scenes (including scouting) true or just bullshit?

But has he lost the confidence in the two men who have the final say in our club?
I'm not sure they'll oversee another disposal after last year's.
They'll be thinking (perhaps) that it has to come right sometime?
