Hang fire pete you were one of the vocal ones in sacking clough. I don't disagree it is another head shaking decision by the board but you were an advocate of clough being sacked. Clough didn't have much longer than Adkins and let's be fair the football I worse and the results certainly are. One day this club will learn I fear I May be the hard way!

The main difference for me was that Nigel Clough has absolute free reign to sign a ridiculous amount of players, mould the team into exactly to one he wanted and get them to play exactly how he liked.

He got to spend more money on a left back than Adkins has been given for an entire season.

He was allowed a storming January while Adkins got a dry January.

Adkins has spent his entire season wiping his nose with Clough's very expensive used tissues.

Since he started being all cryptic he's been getting it all spot on. He has a strange set of posts, a fairly standard member of the forum for ages and then he suddenly only came on occasionally to tell us something that was insider knowledge in a cryptic fashion.
I noticed this too. Looks like someone that came into being in the know at that point in the change. Very interestingly, it was around the time we had a switch up at board/technical board level.

That's interesting, when did we have the switch up exactly? I almost forgot about that, wasn't that guy from redtooth made a board member or something?
I've noticed at the start of his account he posted a few things that were ITK. He got the Turnbull signing correct before that was public. He said some stuff that was to be taken with a pinch of salt which was mostly incorrect, although Bristol were definitely after Jamie Murphy.

No..you totally misunderstand. Peteblade doesn't want managers to be sacked. He merely expresses his concerns 30 times per day.

Interesting, he must have some board connection to know this and the Ched stuff.
However, I still don't get how he knows team selection unless the board are told that at every meeting which I doubt.
I don't suppose it would be much of a challenge for someone in such a role to access team news however early after the manager releases it they please.

Didn't he stop posting team sheets when Baxter was suspended?
He posted that Baxter had been suspended a few days before his last team sheet prediction when he said 'BYE' midway through the game.

On another note. I made a mistake, he didn't predict Collins leaving, that was someone else.

If they've decided to sack him, I suggest these could be among the reasons...

Low season ticket renewal numbers

Asking them to spend money...
Adkins: "These are the players I want to make us semi respectable, they will cost this much.."
Board: "Fuck off, we'd rather just sack you and use the money to pay you off."

Threatening to modernise the way the club does things and get rid of the backward small time mentality our board love to fester in.

Chris Wilder's name has now been posted at least 300 times by Blades fans on the internet.

The truth though isn't it. Open the door. There is a wonderful world out there.

I'm afraid that if I open the door you'll be there, stalking me in person. And feeling smug about it. Probably touching yourself.

Did you take the bookies trousers down when you "lumped on" promotion with Adkins?

I know that you take them to the cleaners most weekends. Or at least you claim to.

I think Clough got himself sacked. The Board didn't appear to be lining him up for sacking until something happened at a Board Meeting. Otherwise he would have gone when we failed in the play-offs.

Edit: Wait, his cryptic posting started a few months after in february

What ched stuff?

Like we have all speculated I think Clough went in to the board meeting with a list Derby players he would like to sign.

"Shaun Barker, I reckon we could get him fit again. He is the centre back we need."

He knew who his lawyer was and said he'd never lost an appeal. That wasn't so much ITK as the others but he knew long before anybody bothered to even ask.

That info was freely available. Apart from the never lost an appeal bit, which wasn't true.

Maybe the 'dry January' now makes more sense if this speculation is true, perfect sense in fact.

None of us 'armchair' keyboard warriors know what the spirit is like in the dressing room. Not the players who are leaving but the ones who will still be with us next season. If they do not respect and respond to Adkins then he has to go. Performances suggest not many of the players are with him.

The other big issue is Hammond and that might be insurmountable if Adkins is insisting the club honours a personal promise he has made to the lad. These things happen. Last October time when Adkins was wooing Hammond our manager was fireproof but so much has happened since.

I thought that you were more mature than that. But then, you have your duties to attend to.

Always reassuring that you are on duty though

January was an indication that Adkins should have just told the club to piss off.

Looking at his previous posts, he has only been consistent with team selections, which y'know, isn't rocket science. Most of us could do a pretty decent stab at guessing week on week and get it right.

He has given very little actual information over his 40-some posts and sometimes it's actually been plain wrong. For instance, he got the club Murphy was going to wrong. And several players who were coming in that never materialised. As said earlier, it would be mad to sack Adkins at the end of the season. Wouldn't be surprised if it happened, mind. But yeah. Troll thread, innit lads.
It's BULLSHIT !!!

Wouldn't bother me either way if we sacked him or kept him.

His pedigree suggests he'll come good and principles say we should give him plenty of time
But let's be straight almost everything he's done to date has been disappointing.

The season has almost ended and he's still experimenting with players and formations.
We've rarely played the exact same team twice all season and he still doesn't know his best 11.
It depends who his replacement is but with a new manager at least I'd be excited and hopeful about the new season.
