I remember before we had our season in the Premiership McCabe saying we needed 16,000 per game to break even, to me it looks like he will get his wish next season if something doesn't change quickly. I've been going to the lane for around 45 years seen the good and the bad in every division but I can honestly say I have never ever seen such disenchantment, frustration ,anger and apathy amongs the fans. I know we have been far far worse on the pitch in the past but that was when we were truly skint that surely can't be the case at present. McCabe is the best we've had in my lifetime and yes to some extent he has brought a lot of grief on his own head by raising the bar on our expectation levels but to me the worse thing is that he seems to have lost focus and is more and more losing touch with the ordinary fans who turn out week in week out. I don't know if he reads these fans forums but if you do Mr McCabe there is a spare seat on the kop next to me. This is an open invitation for you Mr McCabe to meet me before the next home game and use that seat on the kop with real fans and see it from our perspective, then if you still think everything in the garden is rosy I will be glad to give you my season ticket and super draw card. I suspect that I will still have both come the end of the season and I suspect you will decline my offer.

He''s got no balls !

Do yer want our gert to cum and sit wi yer ?

Does anyone seriously think that in terms of the man's safety that would be a good idea?

Write to him, providing you aren't abusive with it, and he can get to it through the bags of mail.... You'll probably be pleasantly surprised by his response. He has and will continue to offer the opportunity for Blades to meet and discuss matters with him.

Oh yeah, I guess it was all just a dream when he's done it in the past numerous times then.

What confirms this, is when he said we'd not yet sold Beattie, when in fact we hadn't :).

Don't know why I ever thought of it in the first place, better stop eating cheese before bed.

I know from previous experience that I am correct in his approach. There are a few people on here who can confirm that.

Abuse him and he'll throw the letter away. Write to him in a sensible manner and you'll more often than not get a response. He's a very busy man and of course he can't deal with every single one the same way, but I know that he takes time out to deal with matters like these. Not many would.

Why don’t you take a broad section of our posts and show him a cross section of our views as a cross section of the fans view.
Even we disagree were almost all in the same view and publish the reply on the forum.
Id love to see the response

Foxy i don't agree with you............i've spoken to him and when he senses an awkward question he's gone !

Don't you lot think he has a good enough view from where he sits?! He sits in the directors box, not too far from the back, and fans are close enough to him for him to hear every word, every frustration - and every piece of abuse thrown towards him and the team.

He's not behind glass, or watching on the tv, if he's at The Lane, he's sat there, amongst us all. Alright his seat is made from leather, and he gets free soup at half time in a nice warm Platinum Suite, but he's there amongst us! If you're sat on South Stand, if you're lucky, he'll listen to what you have to say, if you speak to him in a calm, polite and respectful manner. If you write, or e-mail him, again if you speak in a polite manner, chances are you'll get a response!

Don't agree...............

He knows the unrest ?...........arrange a question and answers meeting then !

... now is not the time to do it, for all he'll get is abuse and fans that "know best". It won't be a question and answer session, it'd just be abuse and shouting. There was a question and answer session at the recent shareholders EGM, so there won't be another one too quickly!

oh well i thought ........hoped McCabe was a honourable man, after all he's a Blade aint he ?

Yes he is, along with the rest of the McCabe family, and I truly believe that one of the McCabe Jnrs will be our future chairman/men.

If you're so frustrated write to him, and request a response. As long as you write in the correct manner you're more than likely to get a response... just remember though, if you do it now with feelings as high as they are, you'll be one of hundreds so your chance of a response is very limited.

Samantha: thanks for the common sense. If some folk were faced with many of the assumptions people make on their behalf I don't think many would last past the first question. It is easy to abuse and be the critic, being on the receiving end is quite different.

That's why I think my ST is safe

Yes a nice little cocoon is that directors box, yes he might well hear the abuse but abuse will go straight over his head because it is not close up and personal when surrounded by the businessman types you know the ones with their wives or whatever dressed up like they are off to Royal Ascot for prawn sarnies, who I don't wholly class as real fans, all of them will have never in their lives had to sit down and work out what they have to give up so they can afford a season ticket let alone a matchday ticket and I'd wager when the pigs are above us in the table they will be off to S6 to impress their associates quicker than you can say Blackwell out.

Have you ever sat in that directors box?! There is one, small wall to seperate it from the main south stand seats - any comments and abuse don't go over your head, you hear them loud and clear. It is up close and personal, it's as close as any other fan - and it's as bloody cold too!!

Oh and by the way NO WAY do I want to give him abuse or see him get abuse but I would like him to see for himself and hear for himself the sof fans loads of whom are out of work or on short time after they have shelled out only to see that garbage on Saturday.

Do you honestly think he doesn't hear it?! You hear more than you think from the directors box, and the bench too!! I wish people would realise this, if they were sat behind glass I'd say different, but they're not, they're in the middle of the stand, listening to everyone, and hearing everyone - and they've probably got the best view of the game above anyone?! Have you read what Linz says about her view of the ground? Well the directors box is a few rows behind her, and Mr McCabe sits, usually, at the back of there, so will get an even better view.

If you're unsure of the view, and how open it is to what fans say and do, at the next open day go and have a seat in there - maybe then you'll realise

Whats his email address?

I don't know!!

All SUFC mailboxes are generally set in the following format....

firstname.surnameATsufc.co.uk

Chances are, people like McCabe, Blackwell, Rockett etc won't have e-mails such as those. Best guess I'd say would be to send to the secretary... or put in writing. Without trying to point to other message boards, didn't someone on BU say not long back that they'd written/e-mailed McCabe and got a response pretty quickly?

Sam, no I havn't maybe you have, I'm sure you'll agree it's a different world from the kop, I consider myself fortunate to be able to buy a season ticket but it hasn't always been like that. Some of the fans on the kop have a real struggle on their hands to get to every game and they deserve a lot better than the utter shite seen so for this season, topped off by players saying if you don't like bugger off to Doncaster because we don't need your sort, well I really do beg to differ to a certain Mr Killgallon and talentless stand in captain who think these fans who at the end of the day pay their ridiculous wages know nowt. A dose of shovelling dog shit off the training pitch would do the pampered pets a world of good, after Saturday I'd make them do it with their bare hands.
