Fingers crossed, but he must know we're short in the middle and defence already??
I expect he will go for Alzate at Ull, to come in for Souza, but it would be nice for COH to show some ambition, and get the positions filled perm with 2 players that are on the periphery of prem sides, that can step up, should we go up!
The deal for Phillips from Spurs has gone very quiet aswell.......
That said, hopefully we get some banging loans in the 3 spaces we have left, and get some of our own players loaned out, to build their ability and experience in the game.

We definitely need another right back, centre back, then probably a right winger and two left wingers. I personally don't see CM as a priority, or at least one that couldn't be temporarily fixed with a short term loan.

We're not far off having a very strong staring eleven now, but we are lacking in depth.

But we've lost Souza... Blaster inj, TD always inj, Peck coming back from inj.......... are you sure about CM??

Louie Barry is 1 LW, I expect Burrows to be used there if needed, as he was Tuesday.
Brooks RW, and we need another.
Atleast 1 more CB, Seriki is a RWB so needs another RB with him, CM as our middle is currently decimated.
Think were good up top, aslong as Òne can kick on, and Cannon finally gets his fuse lit!!
Keeping department could be better, but aslong as Coops is fit, were good.

I get where you're coming from but Peck is back today, so we already have O'Hare, Peck and Hamer. Arblaster will return. As for Davies and Shackleton it's hard to count them really as we never know if they'll be available.

Agree, but we still miss that Souza type in the middle?? Blaster and Peck are the same player, Hamer and OHare are small, and more attacking..., I think we need an enforcer.

I'm waiting to see how we play before making final judgement on whether we need a Vini type player, but I know what you mean.

I see Peck and Arblaster as different players. Peck is more defensive while Arblaster is more influential on the ball and willing to run with it. Peck could well replace Vini in that role but he needs work on his positional discipline. His enthusiasm is great but chasing the ball all over the pitch like under 7s football leaves gaps for teams to exploit. Hopefully Selles will help him with this.

Hamer and O'Hare may be small but they can ride tackles well. They're hard to knock over, though O'Hare is good at "drawing fouls." They're both capable of playing box to box and track back and defend well, especially O'Hare who won back the ball constantly last season. So did Hamer but usually at the cost of a yellow card, but that may have been last ditch due to fitness. I genuinely think they will both thrive under Selles, particularly O'Hare who I think will be our best and most influential player this season.

I still expect us to go for Alzate or similar, but agree that a decent loan would cover it. Although we then have to drop Blaster or Peck when both are fit, and I think Peck has done really well. Unless he leaves obviously... West ham were sniffing weren't they?

Need a proper CM who is more experienced than Peck, and more steely than Arblaster. But primarily a good footballer. I don't want another lump in there who can only tackle and defend
