He does offer at least 1 thing over Sharp Age.
Sharp is 33 and as much as we all love him he is coming to the end of his career.
Chris knows this, he might even know now that Billy might be playing a bit part next season at best.
I am not knocking Billy(He's a Blade Legend) he deserves a chance in the Premiership however small that might be, a I suspect deep down Billy knows that.
But at the end of the day there is no time for sentiment in the Premiership we have to give ourselves the best Chance of Staying in it.
I equally have no idea if we are still interested in Maupay, Personally I prefer McBurnie, maybe we are after both but that would be insane, I think most of our fans are delighted with our close seasons signings as we stand.
You can't have enough Strikers in the Premiership most teams that get relegated do so because they simply didn't score Goals.

Personally I wouldn't give a monkies if we had both Maupay and McBurnie (OM is my preference)
It would be a nice problem to have with around 6 attackers for 2/3 positions and let CWAK have the headache of who would start. We should be able to get at least 2 of them that can be in form and be successful this year.

Having said that, if we can land McBurnie then we hold the cards with Maupay negotiations if they are desperate to get rid on an unsettled striker. Offer them less than what he's worth as we have absolutely nothing to lose. No skin off our nose.

It's a win - win situation for us. Just need to get McBurnie over the line first !

He's the best in the EFL, but never been thought good enough in the PL. We create lots of chances so a proven PL finisher is needed. Not £20m on EFL also rans.
