Norwood looks real quality showed more in 90 mins in terms of splitting defences than Evans did in 6 months. My only gripe is he doesn't do too much work defensively but overall a great performance and seems to have an instant chemistry with Fleck.

Fleck once again another battling performance with the quality to take men out the game and drive us forward.

Basham yet again a great performance lost the ball once or twice but kept a winger quiet who looked real quality in the Bundesliga last season. He played a couple of good passes through all with his usual energy and commitment

Henderson just for that save.

???

Be interesting to see the ratings later in the week

UTB!!

2nd Half Fleck was outstanding, probably because he was sent further forward after Leonard came on. Couts/Norwood with Fleck playing behind the strikers is quite exciting.

Thought they was a couple on the pitch today that could have took man of match but for me Norwood was my man of the match. This was his first league game for us and think he looked to comfortable in the team from the min the first whistle went. The way he picks the ball up deep and is always looking up for the forward pass. But also thought Henderson was brilliant and made some brilliant saves, fleck was class again and also sharp looked a threat and played well and put him self about. Good performance from us today and thought we was miles better than Norwich through out the whole 90 mins.

Norwood being available and having a good game allowed Fleck to play at his best imo.

No question. For all those who think Lundstram is a midfielder (and Evans) gaze upon that and wonder.

Norwood is different gravy. He was magnificent today. To be honest I think he might be even better than Coutsy if he's consistent.
It shows just how poor Evans was.

I just find it absolutely scandalous that we've been able to sign him and to think about how many people lost their heads when Evans was sold. King Wilder!!!

Whisper it quietly, but Norwood might even be an upgrade on pre-injury Coutts. He was absolute class today. I was looking forward to seeing him play and he didn't disappoint. Is it true that we're only going to pay £2m for him in January? If so that looks an absolute steal on today's showing.

With coutts coming back is like to see the flat 3 midfield then. 3 quality midfielders running the show could be huge in this division.

It’s disrespectful to compare Evans and Norwood.

I know I’ve been harping on about us needing a Coutts understudy and Norwood does seem to fit the bill. But the quandary now is how we accommodate them both in the same team?

Couldn’t make the game today, how did Woodburn play?
He got knocked off the ball quite a bit and done misplaced passes, but he's just a young lad and will only get better. We looked better in the second half, when he was subbed.

Easy imo. Fleckeh couttseh and Norw...norwood flat 3 all versatile cm’s

Could Fleck play in the hole? Although Duff was ill today he still doesn’t seem to command a regular first team place. Just thinking if CW continues to play the same formation could Fleck be our “edge of the box man?”

He played like he’d been suffering from flu.
Didn’t touch the ball much but when he did he was OK but just kept it simple.
For some reason he seemed a bit dis interested and out of sorts.

In the post match interview Wilder admitted that Woodburn was subbed because he looked tired.
He said he played in the cup on Tuesday and due to this young age struggled to justify himself playing 2 matches in a week.
However Wilder said that Woodburn still has a big part to play this season and they’ll look at managing him better.
He also mentioned that Woodburn played a new position today so is still learning his role.
