im loving these last 3 clean sheets at home [forget that tin pot cup match] so thats Peterborough Bristol Rovers and now Port Vale

Fleck, Duffy, Eel in that order but I can't fault any of them.

Billy clearing his lines one minute then setting up a chance for Chapman the next when we were already 4-0 up sums up today's team performance. Outstanding.

Fleck gets my vote. I've felt for a while that he was due a barnstorming performance. He surely has to be in the starting line-up on Tuesday.

How can you pick one? That statement in itself sums up my feeling about yesterday, I reckon Wilder and Knill deserve a mention if for nothing else but our corners at times were brilliant to watch, one things for certain the bar has been raised to a whole new level niw.

Under any normal circumstances it would be EEL by an absolute country mile, but I thought the outstanding performance was from John Fleck.

Didn't stop running, tackling and harrying, barely misplaced a pass all afternoon, Wasn't frightened to have a pop at goal and had one contentiously chalked off, and the showpiece moment, the outstanding break when he drove United forward with a lung busting 60 yard run where nobody could get near him, before an exquisite pass to Sharp who saw his shot blocked in the lead up to the goal.

The most complete and best midfield performance I have seen a United midfielder in several years and one I enjoyed immensely.

Fleck, coutts, Done, EEL, a good team performance, me I'd give it to wilder if I could, they're all match fit now, it's not a shock they're clicking..

Freemans tackle in the first ten set the tone yesterday, but maybe as I was on the kop where I don't usually sit and was staring straight at it, it looked world class defending... their player had a Lot of goal to aim at if freeman didn't make that challenge.. just my opinion, but that changed the game..

EEL for me. Fleck was fabulous but he wouldn't have had the freedom or confidence to play like that without EEL 2 goals

Fleck was a joy to watch today as was Coutts, when he brought the ball down in the second half and flicked it over the Vale player for himself to run onto actually made me laugh, it was that good, if this carries on I'm going to be skint celebrating all these performances, cut it out Wilder. :D

One little thing from Fleck....something which we haven't seen often but shows his quality.

Third goal, their corner, defensive header drops into space in our box. Fleck reacts to go for the ball...and this is the crucial thing and that little bit of something that stands players like him out above others.......before he gets to the ball he quickly looks forward and around at what is on, and in that split second knew EXACTLY what he was going to do.
Carried the ball forward with pace and assurance....drew the defender with the help of Duffy knowing full well he was creating space for Sharp and releasing a perfect pass at the exact right moment.

He is credited with nothing for that goal officially due to a combination of slack finish and good defending but he was the sole architect in that goal. Top class.

There were at least two other occasions where the ball dropped to him around the edge of our box under more pressure than he was for Duffy's goal. Both times he picked his head up straight away, took the opponent out of the game, picked the right pass and set up good counter attacks. Real bonus contributions from a player at this level.

Can't pick between Coutts, Fleck or EEL. All 3 of them were excellent. Looked a class above any of the opposition players
