Player Suggestion Morgan Whittaker

Serious intent being shown by clubs around us while we play this “hard window let’s be cute about the way we operate” mentality. So Sheffield, city sized but act like a town. Winners take, they don’t play games.

Out Run.Out fight.Out think. On the pitch but when it comes to transfers it isn’t quite the same. Still plenty of time left but if we miss out on a few points that could make a difference we’ll be kicking ourselves.

Id really hope we'd be looking at this lad, a top player.

Our rivals strengthen with players like Whittaker that should be on our list.
We can't keep putting our eggs in one basket, it's a lesson we desperately need to learn if we are to progress.

Hopefully we get BBD, but we really should have alternatives of a similar calibre so we can't be dry bummed like we were over Brewster, hopefully we do, time will tell

We should be in for him, we always wait till everyone else has their pick before we move, then end up with ex blades or a desperate loan signing, gerrim in!

He seems an obvious one to get. Can play wide or down the middle. No injury issues. Pacy. Good age (24)with the potential to step up a level unlike some other players we're linked with. We should be all over it.

There's talk of the fee being £10m.
I don't feel like we're in that market, but who knows.

I dont want to be a weerz moneh gone guy, but we sold a lot of players in the Sunmer, we have parachute payments (like everyone likes to remind us) and new owners. I cant see why we couldn't spend £10m if the CM and CD are both loans.

This is not ITK at all, just what I was told in a conversation with a Plymouth fan I know after the Brentford cup game when i suggested they might get prem teams looking at the lad

Was told he has a 10 million release clause, that could explain why no one has tried to take him away from Plymouth before

He'd be Burnley's 7th realistic option to play wide. They have the Championship equivalent of a top 4 PL squad

Do you want "outspend" to be one of our mottos...? I don't.

There's no way I think we'll sign him as it will be a permanent deal and we seem to only do loan deals in January or cheap permanent deals which this is not. He's a good player but I suspect our number one striker chase is for Cannon.

So far Leeds (no transfers), Burnley (Ashley Barnes, Oliver Sonne), Sunderland (Le Fee).

Doesn’t seem to me as though we’re massively behind.

Dont think he is a Wilder type (he is my type tho) as he can appear to be lazy and goes into hibernation in games i have seen him play, but does have quality and skill that would probably be suited to him being in a top team with some quality grafters in midfield.

Why is it when one of our rivals are linked with a player, all the ridiculous speculation on what we are and aren’t doing comes out?

“We’re being left behind”
“All our eggs are in one basket”
“Wait until the last minute”

If anyone has any ITK on what we are and (apparently) aren’t doing, I’d love to hear it!

They should be dominating the division with the sheer depth they’ve got realistically us and Leeds shouldn’t even be close but thankfully Scott Parker is just about dull enough to handicap them a bit

Are Leeds fans saying the same out of curiosity?
Leeds' 2 most important players aren't out for the season and they aren't having to play an 18 Yr old kid up front.

Incidentally are concerned as they think that their board think they are good enough to go up with their current squad and likely won't spend anything as a result

We could have had Ashley Barnes by now!!!

AHHHHH!!!
