I see we've hit the "just sign somebody, anybody" part of the window.

At the reported fees, this would be a poor signing IMO.
 
Other screenshot was misleading, says he is isnt on the list of blades targets - sauce being Danny Hall.

Whittaker is a very good winger who can play upfront too.
He has a high ceiling in the game.

I would rather have him on the right than JRS. Whittaker is much more direct and has a better eye for goal.

At £10m though. Can't see that happening. He'll do an Osula and be a prospect at one of the big boys
 
May as well close this thread, because unless we're actually loaded now, we're not signing him.

We can have a laugh at Swansea letting him go on the cheap though, despite being great in League One.
 
Those who are scoffing at the idea of signing him haven’t the faintest idea and can’t have seen him play, he’s an exciting player and prospect, one that would do a lot better with better players around him. £10M these days for a player of his calibre is fuck all, I know that sounds crazy but that’s how stupid football has got, if you want a talented and exciting player you’ve got to pay for the fucker.

Having said all that we won’t be signing many if any players like this anyway because Wilder obviously wants us to be solid and compact, winning games by the odd goal so he’ll be a no goer.

I'd say Whittaker is way ahead of Brooks in development currently. He should be really as he's 3 years older.

IMO, Whittaker is a better option than Rak-Sakyi.
Whittaker and Brooks challenging for the RW spot is a good headache to have
 
Apparently refused to play for Plymouth tonight as he wants to leave the club.

Did the same at Swansea, so think if we aren't in for him we're better off

I have said positive things about Whittaker in the past. But he's not having a good season. Apparently been poor since Schumacher left them for the Stoke job.
 
That’s cheap given there was reported interest from Brentford in the summer but he’s obviously not the type you’d want in the dressing room during tough times

Agree, apparently refused to play for Plymouth on Wed***day against Burnley.

Imagine doing that and then moving to Boro, not exactly a "dream move".....
