If Wednesday want to claim the moral high ground then they can. If they want to bleat on about how they played the better football, or how their stadium is a gleaming beacon of hope then they can. They can witter on about hoofball versus pretty football, and about own goals, yellow cards and fouls.

They can moan like girls about the importance of wearing a suit, and dominating the second half. They can argue that the moon is made of green cheese, and that Jordan isn't really an over-inflated slag at all.

They can protest about finances, attendances, Boxing Day, and any other shite they like.

But the one thing that they can't argue about is the result.

SHEFFIELD UNITED 3-2 SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY

And that's all that matters.

So take the moral high ground, even if it is at the deep end of the city. We'll take the victory and the three points that go with it, thanks.

Agreed - the times we've outplayed them at Swillbro and lost/drawn, frankly i don't care for their bleatings either. They hardly outplayed us for 90 mins although they had a good spell 2nd half which strangely ended when they got their 2nd goal.

Never mind they can find solace in the double they did last year & buy some tat that's been produced to commemorate their historic achievement.

Frankly one double in 95 years is embarrassing & I can think of no other club that would actively celebrate just how crap they've been against their city rivals.

Well they can stuff this years double right up the orifice just below the curly tail. HAFUCKINGHA!

...and about own goals, yellow cards and fouls.

Purse was doing more fouling than fouled against, and there seemed to be three or four Wednesday players giving the gob to Alan Wiley everytime Henderson got penalised, I expect to try and get him sent off. Add in O'Conniors appallinglate and vindictive foul on Monty that he should have walked for, and the rest of the nigly late and off the ball challenges, and theres not much 'moral' ground left. They're just clinging to these irrelevancies to make losing seem not so bad, like they actually won, except they didnt manage to score more goals than we did.

Beside, as pointed out, we won the game fair and square. Yes they had a spell of 25 mins when they played pretty football, and we dropped too deep and booted it anywhere. But take the 'playing for local pride' out of their second half display and all they really showed was that they aren't good enough for anything more than lower mid table...

Don't forget the own goal Henderson fouled Sir Lewis by putting his shirt into the palm of his trotter and moving away.
Brian Losts interview was hilarious......grunt ,oink snuffle.
