There's a UK plug socket in the photo though, so he's 1000000% in the UK right now, definitely.

He was so impressed with UK sockets that he had his home in France rewired with them, because EU sockets look pants.

Said so on his Insta.

Though that laminate flooring looks crap and the plasterwork on the walls could do with some attention.

Well, I might be way off on that one, but I just get the feeling that if say, Ben Osborn was pretending to be in a Nickelback video, that wouldn't get as much negative attention as Lys Mousset pretending to be in a rap video.

Nickelback?! Gerrim ahht!!!

"Define the rest of his life"??? He's using a bereavement as an excuse??? For what, exactly?
One of the most shameful posts I've ever seen on here.
What is it about this situation that causes people to post absolute shite? It's not as if he's even been a failure this season - or said he wants to leave - or said anything bad about the manager or the club.

Yep. As I said previously. There’s grieving then there’s the Morrison types, who have a “woe betide me”...ive had such an awful time and want to use that as an excuse for the rest of my life for my failures.
Perhaps my views come from my experiences of people, but unfortunately there are people who will blame everything on that one thing rather than just being honest with themselves.

May seem harsh, but having had my fair share of upset like everyone else I don’t blame that for the reason I am overweight and can’t be arsed to put the work in to sort it, or delayed promotion for 15 years because I couldn’t be arsed to put the work in etc etc...I’m honest and admit I was just plain lazy.

So, as for Mousset, who has to do enough graft to be a professional athlete and so that means training, I don’t buy the excuse he’s “had a hard time” due to some death in the family. He wasn’t putting the work in before that happened, and there’s many reports of his poor diet, lack of discipline and lack of simple hard work.
We are talking about someone who managed I believe 80 mins...once. In a whole season. Wasn’t fit for 2 months after arriving having arrived in poor condition.
Compare that to Sharp. Who lost a child in devastating circumstances. How did he respond? There are plenty of others who have dealt with equally more devastating events.
So that’s the point of letting these events define the rest of your life. You either happily take the excuse and use it, gaining sympathy from everyone along the way Without ever resolving it, or you grieve, deal with it and crack on. Like most folk do.

No it's not. I thought I made "the point" clear in my post - he's not been sent home because he's feeling unwell - he's been sent home to be with his friends and family to get over a bereavement, see his baby, be with his girlfriend, see his friends and come back refreshed and ready for the new season. You - and many others - are treating it as if he's got some horrible virus and should be tucked up in bed, or that he should be moping around with a long face, or posting pictures of his new-born whilst smiling with restrained decorum into the camera.
He's a young man, who's had a strange set of circumstances to deal with during the first half of this year and if I was Wilder, I would be glad to see that he seems to have recaptured some pep and fizz.
Equating it with being sent home from work with a stomach bug is where you're missing the point. Really, it's not that difficult.
I'm just putting up an alternative view I haven't even subscribed to it myself (you haven't even cottoned onto that) however if he fails in the squad this year I will, he is the most talented forward we have.
Remember there is more than your opinion and your opinion isn't always right.

Totally ignore the rest of the post then you first class
Hey at least I'm not you! Since you arrived on this board reading your posts has been like standing on the doorstep trying to get the JWs to fuck off. There is only your view no matter how wrong and that's why I ignored the rubbish you spout. I'm only responding as you directed a comment to me.
I think this is worth repeating but for the full message see above:
" Remember there is more than your opinion and your opinion isn't always right." Contrary to your belief.

Some right drama on this thread today. Keep it going guys it's got me gripped.

I'm not weighing in on your discussion with Hamburg Blade who I like as a poster, but it does always shock me how irate folk get when someone doesn't share their opinion. Particularly on here, an Internet forum, designed for fans to discuss & debate different ideas.

I always try to maintain some balance in my posts, I acknowledge when something is my opinion, or my interpretation of events & accept that others may feel differently - which is why I find responses like "you're a nob" to be so disappointing. What's the point in that? I'm up for the discussion, so tell me what you think.
Play the post, not the poster...

Mousset is a polarising figure. Wilder himself has openly said that he doesn't do enough. We've all seen him rampaging and terrorising Man Utd & we've also all seen him away at Reading, sauntering around the field completely disinterested.

Everyone is unique and has their own sets of ideas, principles, morals based on their own experiences. Some don't see grief as a valid excuse for not performing to the best of your abilities at your job for 6 months, others think it's fair enough. People are different.
Relax a bit, get over yourself & have a conversation. Surely that's what these discussion boards are for?

As do I and quite often we agree but it does seem if you say anything in opposition to certain topics some people go straight to 11 and miss the point.
As for Mousset, I was defending him on the Shoutbox when a lot of people were dissing him, I assume the 'Wilder is always right brigade' but opinions flipped instantly when he was brought back into the fold (at least for now). If there is anything I'm guilty of and the same is true in this case it's sitting on the fence but that won't stop me putting an alternative argument in front of the mob even if that later proves to be wrong.

Doing oreyt, for someone who spent half of last season either unfit or fat, and before that didn't get a game for Bournemouth 😁

Did Moose ever say any of that?
Surely that came from CW to explain his absence and possibly his lack of form
Followed up by sympathy from this forum.
(is that why you're pissed off?)

Better than the lambo that. Maybe he has bought it in tribute to our Paul Coutts references and people still hating SMH.

I am not normally one for indulging players but clearly the lad has been through a lot off the pitch and I think he is worth persevering with. If we can get him back to his best from last season and keep him there, he is our 15-20 goal striker at this level.

If his mind is elsewhere, then it's best that we part ways, as sad as that would be.

Wilder will know what to do, one way or the other.

I think it’s pretty obvious who he is and also it is obvious why he got banned before

someone must have told him what fan's are saying about his insta
Yeah, I might get off his back a little bit now... unless that pictures in France, in which case I'm not putting my pitchfork away just yet.

One is the best club representative we've had for years.
The other... was on paid because he wasn't mentally right.

I get that you want to defend our players. I do.

When Moose opened our Meadowhall store and gave his MOTM award to a young fan I thought he was the best thing since sliced bread.

Maybe I'm looking at it as an employer more than a fan but I don't want a Pogba type in our squad.

McBurnie is even worse on IG but the guy is an eccentric fruitloop that gives 100% commitment, I cant say a bad word about him and his Gucci outfits 😅
This McBurnie quote has made me chuckle as this is exactly as i see him also 👍🏻👍🏻🤣

Not sure what you mean.
I may be the only one who sees and hears about people who have had or having a bad time, but are grafting their arses off despite this to provide for their family. No leg ups, nothing for free but just crack on and don’t complain.
Compare that to Morrison say. Who’s had a tough upbringing but as a young lad has the world at his feet. Can’t/Won’t apply himself to do what’s needed to play but throws out his excuses every time it’s clear he’s failing.

Lys is heading the same way. He has the chance to have it all if he could only apply himself. And all he has to do to get it is control what he eats and do as he’s told for a few hours a day in training completing exercise.
Do that, and he gets paid sums most could only dream of for the next 10 years. He could move his family in, dedicate his down time (of which there’s loads as a footballer) to his child and family (again a luxury very few can enjoy) and make the most of it.

Instead we have a lad who’s telling us he’s not right mentally to play football so is just having a laugh with his mates and showing us all the wonderful things he’s got that none of us will ever have. Perhaps he needs a bit of grounding and introduction to “real life” to remind him that he really hasn’t got it that bad!
I’m fairly confident Wilder has lost patience. So have I. I’m pleased for anyone who can show off all their flash motors, watches, houses, holidays when I can see they have earned them and deserve it. So less bleating, less bragging and more media of you turning blood to water, going the extra mile and making sure you’re the fittest you’ve ever been ready to repay the club that on the face of it has stood by you when you’ve had a rough time.

Personal abuse was what got you banned last time.
Can you carry on in the same vein please?
What you consider personal abuse to what actually is personal abuse is mind blowing. You must get offended walking around Tesco’s.
