I'm surprised that we're nearing towards the end of the season, we're top of the league, highest scorers in the division and none of our players or manager has won manager of the month.

And screw the "manager of the month" curse - i'm amazed how none of our players have been recognised as the best player in the league for just 1 month

The Division 1 team of the season should include a minimum of 4 of our players i would have thought,the one voted by their fellow professionals not some online vote that can be hijacked by Wednesday fans

Apart from Coutts and Duffy - I can see both of those guys having a shout and JO'C missing out

So, in essence, having said I concur - I don't really - it's close but not really close enough.

Long may that continue - at least til we`re definitely up. The last thing we need is tempting fate by winning Mickey Mouse awards.

Part of me says why should we care about individual awards as long as we get promoted and hopefully as champions.
However, the other part of me thinks it would be ridiculous if we finished as champions and none of our players or the manager received any individual awards.

I'd expect at least Sharp and Freeman to feature in the divisional team and possibly any of Coutts, Fleck or Duffy.

So, in essence, having said I concur - I don't really - it's close but not really close enough.

With Coutts and especially Duffy seen as more attacking midfielders I think they will miss out because their goal contributions aren't as good as a lot of other players who play their position.

I think they may be deserving to get in on an all round game performance however goals and assists seem to trump a good performance with these sorts of things.
