Hi All,

New to the site and have been living in Kent for the last 30 years.
Just like to say this is red hot West Ham land and they are spitting venom over the settlement with the Blades. Real shame I say.
Just wanted to know what you folks think is going to happen to the money we will get. Does not look like a lot and spread over 5 years means it might not go far. Do you think the manager will get a fair share?

Welcome to the forum :hello:

As I've said elsewhere, I think the money was ear-marked for paying the banks off for the loans we have and little to no money will be made available above and beyond what was going towards the team anyway.

Hello Linz.

This is a pity. If we do manage to go up we will need a better playing staff then we have at the moment.

If we do go up, we'll get more than just the payout from West Ham though.

Welcome to the forum.

I'd say the majority will be used to stabalise the club.

:)

We'll definitely need to make some signings... we're getting through this latter end of the season relying on loan deals which expire come the summer time. I think McCabe will want to see where we end up though before we start talking contracts :)

If we get up through the play offs, that's another few grand in the kitty through the extra matches alone.

The great thing about loan deals is that you can borrow the players you need to get you out of a division without getting saddled with a player on a fat contract for two years after that. And a player who is excellent in the Championship might not be good enough for the Premiership. The bad thing about a loan deal is that you get the crap back you've fobbed off on somebody else.
