no-one wants them to play centre mid, rather buy others and try them there. Be like warnock signing strikers if these were in charge at the lane only with midfielders!

The performance against Cardiff was garbage and i fear there is more to come.

Is that based on the 90 odd minutes against Cardiff, maybe 180 if you include Brum.... Completely ignoring everything in between?

It's quite strange though.....I thought it was a bit of a non-event in that the teams cancelled each other out.

Other Blades usually quite critical, who I have spoken to since, thought we did well against a good well organised team who will be near the top at the end.

We all see things differently but I'd have taken the start we have had no doubt.

Many said it was a really difficult start didn't they??

Well so far, you've suggested

Brian Howard - Maybe possible, even the biggest Barnsley fans I know aren't particularly impressed with him of late and would sell. Would Blackie think he'd improve on what we've got?

Ben Watson - "Available" in so much as Palace think they are going to lose him. Problem being he wants to stay down south and he also wants to sign for QPR and his old mate Dowie. Slight disadvantage given that we are none of those 3.

Gary Mcsheffery - Would they sell to a rival? would he offer what we are looking for?

Ryan Shawcross - Not even a midfielder, which you say is what we need desperately.

So given that none of those are likely... who would you have on loan after the window closes?

In other news, Stoke have upped their bid to £6million for Ledley. That would be the Ledley in the average Cardiff team.

Would you be happy if we tried to outbid them?

Have you seen anyone transfered tonight who would have been suitable?

Loads of others rumoured to be in for him. Can't see it happening, but he could be a useful player to have around.

I think the majority of our targets etc will have been snapped up by teams like Stoke this year.

I'm not surprised, think he's a quality player.

That's our trouble with where we are, we're sort of in no man's land with transfers as the players we want can move higher. It's so frustrating!
