Momentum shift?

I don't want to be a harbinger of doom but I felt it after Bristol City's late equaliser on Tuesday. Burnley are looking the business. We have to go to Turf Moor never a happy hunting ground for us. The derby takes on even greater significance now and the Pigs know it. Getting 1979 pre Boxing Day vibes about it. Tomorrow and Coventry at the Lane will define the season I feel.
Leeds and Burnley are both dropping points at a similar rate to us. We are all in the same boat.
It's no worse for us than them. Time to for people to put their big boy pants on.

Whatever your feelings are about today, we need to win. Regardless of how. We need to win.
I've been a Blade since the late 60's. Someone has already said with the Blades they always take you down to the wire. And over the years they always have.
So many times I 've watched matches where getting THE result matters. Today is one of these days. All too often though, I 've come away disappointed. I really hope this won't be the case today. We need to win.
If we dont, for me, it will be the same feeling I got at MK Dons when Ched went down. We were flying at that time. After what happened off the pitch we lost all momentum. And we all know how it went from there.
Those bastards across the city would love it if they can play some part in us not going up. It's a game we must not lose.
Yes I know, there will still be matches to play and points to win. It won't be over win lose or draw.
But, WE NEED TO WIN!

COME ON YOU RED AND WHITE WIZAAAAAAAAAAAAARDS!

Aged well.

Our great season next year in this league is likely to be without Hamer Souza Cooper and possibly Peck
So we have to ensure we extract maximum value for them and we should already be scouting their replacements.
See "player trading" under 'B'

Bournemouth Brentford & Brighton.

If we go up they all stay

If we don’t there’s circa £60-100m of sales there

Not ideal but they won’t all go, and if they do then replace, same way as we have lost Berge, ndaiye, Hendo, Bash & Billy but here we are…. Top of the league

We will finish in the play offs which is way above where I thought we would finish
So hats off.

Hopefully we can then employ a nrw
Management team who will put us in a better position to survive in the prem should we get there.
The blades won't finish in the play offs, they will be promoted automatically .BUT, I agree 100% about a new a management team. Wilder is too long in the tooth as well as lacking the tactical nous to be a successful manager in the premiership, as he proved before, and the cutting edge tactical knowledge is a damn sight more ruthless and clinical now than it was when he was last there.

The late equaliser from Bristol City ahead of pigs away, then Frank Lampard's Coventry City, was the subject of this thread.

A superb derby double completed, and a huge performance tonight. I'm hopeful the momentum has shifted our way.

Pressures on for the chasing pack of two.

🐷 Why don't you head back to Pork Talk and chat about the tactical genius that is Sausage Rohl.
