Hello,

Now I know this post isn't going to be met with applaude and laughter, but after reading the latest Hammers v Blades report on the BBC I have actually had it.

I am a reasonable human being who loves the game of football, when the Tevez and Mascherano case came to light, all of my nightmares i'd had when they first joined had come true. It had came out that we (West Ham) had knowingly cheated, we had undermined the rules of the game for our own personal gain. That season as you all know we stayed up, not because of Tevez but because the team had an amazing run of form coming into the end of the season. Now at this time when people came up to me saying "ooh, you should and probably will be deducted points." My response to this was, "yeh, you know what, fair enough, we cheated in a bad way so we deserve to have points deducted." But that wasn't the way of it, we were fined a record £5.5m and that was that.

Now it's the controversy afterwards that really gets up my nose, yes we should have been deducted points, yes we maybe should have been demoted, but we weren't, and that isn't our problem. So i'm asking how it feels to support a club who are just moaning and moaning and moaning about something we have already been punished for. Do you not sometimes sit and think, hmm, maybe if we'd have just got our heads down and weren't so god awful that season instead of wingeing and moaning, that you might not have gone down? Consequently if you're board, staff and players had their heads fully on the season at hand you might be in the automatic promotion places? Just a thought...

Come on, if you're going to come on here looking for an argument... at least post it where everyone can see it ;)

Thread moved to general BLADES chat and fireproof outfit donned.

Looks to me like its you spammers doing all the moaning.....

"we were already punished"
"IF you did this"
"If you did that"

moan moan bloody moan!

Are you going to reply to any of what i've said? Because so far everyone is citing my "moaning" and not actually replying to what i've said, which is probably because deep down you all know it's true. I'd hate to support a club that is going to all this effort because they were so piss poor to stay up on their own feet.

How about we retrospectively deduct all the goals that Tevez scored for you?

Oh erm... what did you say about it being all water under the bridge?

I'd be more embarrassed that you feel the need to come on here and protest your innocence... because really, we've not had these conversations with West Ham fans over and over and over again.

Oh, by the way love, I think you dropped this:

I'd hate to support a club that went on an amazing run of form at the end of a season and managed to scrape to safety through cheating.

I'd prefer to support a club that sticks to the rules and follows up it's public commitment to decency and fair play.

Just my choice.

so i should switch clubs because they cheated? no, we cheated and we took the punishment, why should be be punished again? maybe i'm on here because i feel strongly that maybe now you arent sticking to the rules, you're taking it too far because you lot actually spat your dummy out because you were too shit to be in the premiership... still are.

Because it turns out you were continuing to break the rules after you had been punished.

And what does that have to do with the subsequent court case(s) relating to the illegitimate fielding of Tevez (repeatedly) even after cofessing to breaking rules?

Perhaps you should take a look exactly why you have taken your precious time to subscribe to a Sheff-Utd forum and come on and whinged to us about our 'incessant moaning' when perhaps you ought to be celebrating the phenomenal situation in which you find your retrospectively 'enormous club'. (Sub) Mid-table mediocraty. 5 points in 24.

So I quote, "if you're board, staff and players had their heads fully on the season at hand..."
...instead of crappin' your pants about how in God's name you're going to afford our compensation.

A rather ambitious start to a season wouldn't one agree?

Just a thought...

Whereas had we cheated, lied, got found out and paid a bit of pin money, then carried on lying... we might still be there.

ok give me the choice pay 5m and stay in the prem erm?

yer right punishment that was.

we cant swap places an injustice was done give us the money n we'll all move on and be happy thanks

£30,000,000 divided by about 25,000 fans...

I'll take my £1200 in the form of cheque or paypal please... or have I misunderstood? :(

Aye, that's a good point.

Can I kill two birds with one stone and piss the banks off at the same time?

I'll take 12000 cheques for 10p :D

Cough up cockney!

to be fair, and i know i will probably get slated for saying this the West Ham fan does make one good point and that is if we had our eye on the ball last season and sensible decisions had been made when it came to appointing maagment etc then we probably would have at least competed for promotion, rather than an amazing run at the end disgusing the fact that we majorly under achieved. just thought id mention it :-)

Adding further to the argument, and possibly upsetting even more people than comments made about Morgan/Hume and Maradona, I have lit the blue touch paper. Wonder how much vitriol this will get?:D

*Edit. Well, one bloke called me a giant turd of a person. He's not getting published though. It wasn't one of you funny buggers was it?:D

Haha... no one is disputing that, just he seems to think that West Ham shouldn't be punshished... which we do dispute ;)

Chins up football lover, could always be worse.

Seeing as you're a West Ham fan, maybe not eh?

Cheque book out mate :D

Everybody in the country think we have gone too far?

What a load of tosh.

Big of you, but the lying/cheating didn't stop did it? What happens next year when Man U are 3 points short of the champions league and play an illegible player to make sure they get in, because they know they will get a paltry £5.5 million fine

Points deduction is and always has been the punishment for cheating in much more minor ways until it was one of the "old boys"

I am a bit sick of everyone trying to make us out to be the bad guys here it wasn't us that cheated
