I just found out today that I'm going to miss all the games in Dec and the start of Jan due to neurosurgery. I'm absolutely gutted but I'm aiming to be back for the pig roast mark 2 on 14th Jan. I won't be posting much obviously. Just asking people to give the mighty blades a shout for me whilst I'm not there please?. Hope everyone has a cracking xmas and good new year. IN WILDER WE TRUST. UTB.

Good luck mate. For what it's worth, mrs pommpey underwent a transcollossal approach intercranial procedure to resect a colloid cyst in the Foramen of Munro in the third ventricle on 3 Oct. That's: cut a hole in the loft roof and ceiling, down two flights of stairs, through the door to collapse and pull out aa nine foot diameter balloon by the route you went in with long nosed pliers without damaging the carpet or fetching pictures off the walls on the way out. Slow recovery and the damage is nil, as far as we can see. I was expecting her head to look like something out of the 13th Century torture chambers but it was a fast healing scar within a one by eight inch patch, three titanium clips and screws and you can't tell from the front. Six months off driving, but she's coming through well - tired a lot - but at least she is not at risk from the (benign) tumour. The surgeons are the stuff of legend. Quite how wankers in the meeja industry get New Years and Birthday honours and these superlative beings get overlooked is beyond me.

Take things easy, be patient with yourself and get your family round you. When we celebrate promotion in six months time, all will be okay.

It's a shame Crab Industries nueurosurgery division isn't currently up and running. We could have helped Liverpool blade out

Currently under review by the GMC, a slight misunderstanding when we lobotomised a guy who'd come in for an Ingrowing Toenail. Oops indeed.

Good luck LB and hope all goes well. As connected as we all are by the blades, health and family always comes first
