Done the last 2 and will be there Saturday, not the 80s anymore, them days have gone, cctv and followed by the old bill the moment you arrive at London bridge, the only chance I think it could ever kick off is on the train from London bridge to Bermondsey.

Been to the New Den a couple of times, I never saw any bother but also never saw us pick up a point.

I never went to the Old Den but I i have heard from many who have and apparently the approach to the ground gave the impression of driving into a huge man trap.

A new ground for me (not been to Cold Blow Lane too). Out of the grounds from the top two divisions I have yet to visit are Brentford, Bristol City and Reading plus new grounds at Brighton, Southampton, Swansea, West Ham, Cardiff and Hull

I think to be fair though, if I had to live there I'd be injecting something, Heroin, Cilit Bang, whatever I could get my hands on.
I'm surprised that Crab Industries don't make a proprietary cleaning/injecting product for just such occurrences, without you having to rely on the competition to get your kicks/numb your sense of reality/unblock the shitter...?!?

Made the mistake the first time there in '94 to take the police escort to Surrey Quays tube as opposed to South Bermondsey rail. Walking through a local estate a few bricks were being lobbed at us which given we'd just lost to a late goal from fucking Cadette of all people didn't lighten the mood. The police cheerily explained the bricks were most likely for them and not us at which point one Blade said if that's the case, kindly fuck off!

Worksop is definitely up there. I've only ever used it as a connection for the trains and that was enough.

Try Blyth if you're ever up in the NE. Did some work there a few years ago and the streets are full of 16 year old girls wearing pink puffa jackets pushing prams around. The male population are permanently attached to a bottle of white lightning and the more salubrious areas resemble Page Hall. A flash car is an 02 reg Astra. Fucking grim, I think there's some kind of social experiment going on up there.

Bunch of pansies - I'd have em all with one arm tied behind my back and my legs tied together.

Unfortunately I can't make it there this time to prove this. They have really dodged a damn good thrashing!

Currently in development. Got to be honest though, it needs some tweaking. Can't disclose too much, but Vern and his shovel have been very busy.

Yes, but they do speak English, well a loose type I grant you, worksop is akin to being in eastern Europe in the 60's, it always seems overcast and cold, and the women have beards, well the pretty ones do.

At the Old Den back in the Day, Winter time, cold and Dank. Went on the train and got pummeled at cards, floating 5's and two's are riding. BOLLOXS.

so we got a so called police escort went under a bridge into a mud bath of a so called carpark. and went into a corner section of the ground. Thank fook for the railing's. it was like being at the zoo at feeding time.
So good old Cliff Calvert scored after about 10 minutes. Got all the money i lost and a few quid more. coins reigning over the fence also a piece of 4x4 found its way into the ground at eventually thrown at the Blades that had gone down to see our beloved red n White wizards.

Back on Saturday, 1st time at the New Den

Happy Days.

If you're taller than 4ft six, Griffin Park is a nightmare on the knees due to having no leg room.

I try to find the good in everywhere I've been. Rhyl for example, has a couple of decent arcades and some decent Fish & Chips. Other than that it's a God forsaken shithole.

But Burslem, I got nothing.

Don’t go to Deptford then Crab makes Burslem look like Kensington

Somewhat enhanced (to an impressionable teenage Blade pseudo 'hard case') by graffiti on the underpass bridge "turn back while you can"
FAR more effective than colonic irrigation at the time

Old Den was a completely different animal to The New Den , been a few times to both grounds , went there first time in 84 and we had extra ventilation added to the coach at London Bridge courtesy of a Millwall firing squad .
On another occasion I was working in London around 1990 when we were there & went with a lad off same job to the match . We had some bollocks at New Cross Gate when one of them overheard the accents.
Not my fav club or fans but wouldn’t stop me visiting , only place they seem to hang around now is in the pubs around London Br station

I am reliably informed the New Cross incident was 87 off my mate with the stitches !

This explains my absence. No way Mrs M is letting me out for a full Saturday this close to Christmas, especially if I'm not taking the boy. Millwall Away is no place for a 6 year old. Therefore we're two men (well one and a boy) down. Sorry....

Cue pelters from hard core Bladey McBladies for being a part timer... And in some ways I deserve them!!

I went last year and had a great day out till the game. We spent a few great hours around Greenwich drinking not far from the Park and around the Thames. Got an Uber to the ground which took 10 minutes and then did not see any bother at all. After the game straight out and onto the underground and back to London Bridge. We were having a Curry on Brick Lane by 6pm.

Cannot make this year as wife is away at her parents and I've got lad and not sure it is a great place for a 9 year old. Also cannot justify spending money on tickets/travel this close to Xmas.

i got offered a job in Stoke the other year.. after going to the interview i thought 'f*ck that'.. felt a bit sorry for them

Answering numerous posts giving reasons why Millwall hasn't sold out

Of 10 away matches so far and including Millwall thus far, 4 haven't sold out, 3 have gone well into general sale and of the other 3, Pigs and Burton sold out at 4th level and Forest at 6th level. We aren't exactly selling out all our away allocation by a long stretch

I find our level of support this season very strange. You would think we would be selling out every away game and close to selling out home ends at home game's.

Our stint in league one seems to have driven a fair few fans away for good.

I think our away numbers are consistently bigger than they used to be personally. Not that I'm overly bothered about those figures.

Sunderland away sold out long before general sale. I know because someone got me one off here. I thought QPR did as well.
