Can't wait for the season to start!Plus the Scottish striker from Hamilton and it sounds like we’re chasing an 18 year old striker from Swindon who’s broken into their first team. Might be that we’re just pushing the boat out (comparatively) on academy recruitment this summer.
Yes. Nothing at all suggests he's 'leading our recruitment', it's just more hyperbolic nonsense from another Chris Wilder supporter

Far from it, but we all know the angle Matt is coming from. And he's no evidence to suggest that this guy is heading up our recruitment either, it's a nonsense statement. So if you're skeptical of a Poker guy picking our players, you're a Wilder Widow.
I'm genuinely excited, but when I think about it its almost blind optimism that I have. Yes I was a huge Wilder fan but im pretty sure that isn't clouding my judgement when I say;Far from it, but we all know the angle Matt is coming from. Again, the thinking is so binary on every issue these days it's hard to have any sort of reasoned debate.
And they're all valid questions (and let's be honest, ones we'll likely never get answers to!) and I think we'll only ever find out in time whether it was a good or bad decision...maybe it'll land somewhere between the two. It is their club though so they have the right to make those decisions. Guess some of the fun will be to buckle up and see where it takes us.I'm genuinely excited, but when I think about it its almost blind optimism that I have. We have an unproven manager.
We have an unproven board.
We have unproven owners.
We have an unproven new model.
We have a new unproven scouting system.
Its terrifying really
I asked earlier about who picked Selles? I like him, I understand the direction, but what footballing guru sat down with the Americans and said "THAT'S your guy, RS is the man you need to hire"?
He isn't leading our recruitmentSo if you're skeptical of a Poker guy picking our players, you're a Wilder Widow.
I didn't say he's leading anything.He isn't leading our recruitment
Picked or identified for consideration?I didn't say he's leading anything.
I said he's picked some of our players. Under 21s or not.
Maybe.Picked or identified for consideration?
Do you realise how stupid that sounds ?Maybe.
Its just sounds scary.
Most fans don't want their owners choosing their players, we've got our owners friends "identifying" ours.

This is what you are missing :-So he's a real guy. He's a "friend" of the owners and not an employee. He's No background in football, or even sports, and he plays poker for a living.
What am I missing here?
Sounds dodgy as fuck to me.
AI seems very good at picking players he has a vested interest in selling. And it's not like Bords "AI" is casting the net far and wide, it seems to be primarily players in Bulgaria and Scotland, both places where Bord has ownership in clubs anyway.
Until I see otherwise, I remain very skeptical about the effectiveness of Bords AI company/ability.
Just wondering. Does AI limit itself to only identifying players from the Bulgarian League?
Seems odd that all of a sudden there’s loads of up and coming bargains identified from there?
Untapped or just a bit tapped?![]()
This is what you are missing :-
He part owns a Bulgarian Club that just so happens sold SUFC a player from said club that just so happens the AI software (Bord sold to SUFC) and he wrote told the owners that according to the AI software data (he also provided via the software) we should buy the player.
Good bit of business for Bord that. Sounds dodgy as hell.

You would hope so. We shall see. I think this year on the pitch we will be fine but possibly more worried about whats happening off the pitch. If Bord is doing something dodgy then I’d like to think our owners would be able to see through his scam and not sign the player(s).
The fact Bord’s interest in these clubs is common knowledge means it wouldn’t take much for someone at the club to work it out for themselves!
We signed Caceres from Melgar in Peru using AI data. And it's not like Bords "AI" is casting the net far and wide, it seems to be primarily players in Bulgaria and Scotland, both places where Bord has ownership in clubs anyway.
