From the Wolves match onwards we seem to have developed a "hole" in the middle of the park - it's much too easy for the opposition to run straight down the park and attack the central defenders or simply to play the ball through the middle to whomever the central defenders are marking (that was very noticeable against Fulham). I find this really strange with Fleck and Evans or Lundstram in central midfield and can't work out what is going wrong.

Any thoughts?

I think we've had it for longer than that mate, but happy to be corrected. I always thought that our system led to it partly, as we overload the flanks at the expense of the middle sometimes.

Like I say, I could be talking rubbish as my brain simply can't analyse the game like others do. How the likes of Deadbat and Bergen Blade (to name just a couple) manage it is beyond me.

In my case I blame my drugged up 20s and most of my 30s...

We were pressing much higher up the pitch as a team earlier in the season. The system we play always leaves us susceptible to swift counter attacks. Fatigue as the season goes on plays it part and affects energy levels. The alternative is to play a more defensive midfield player such as Leonard but we lose the passing ability of others if we do this.

Think maybe it’s always been a risk, and is why Coutts and Fleck pick up so many bookings, especially for things like pulling back breaking players.
