I got a Daniel O'Donnell calender actually![]()
He is the outstanding candidate. Simple. The vast majority of United fans think he is the manager to turn United around. Have I considered SOD might not be up for it? Yes, but I don't think it's the case. I'm sure he has faith in his ability. His interview on Radio Shef was pretty much a come and get me. Not at any point has he said he isn't interested and doesn't want it. He is ours to get.
I've listed my preference in other threads. Especially for you though Bartman: 1) SOD, 2) Adams and 3) Howe.
You can get on your high horse, but you come across as patronising and self righteous. Your constant defending of the club is tiresome, yet predictable. I haven't seen someone tow the party line as well as you, so well done. The truth is that no matter what decision is made you will defend it and try to find a positive. If it's Scott then it will be potential, Adams it will be passion or whatever. Your 'I am a business man and Ollessendro is an idiot and doesn't see the bigger picture' just smacks of arrogance.
Ok, so let's do it Dunc's way. Forget about the CV and judge it all on the interview. Some people interview better than others, so how do you account for that? SOD is not the most charismatic person, yet Adams is passionate and articulate, so perhaos there is only ne winner there. I've been on the giving and receiving end of interviews. In the civil service EVERYTHING is based on the interview. Performance, CV etc gets you an interview and counts for nothing else. Everything then boils down to 45-1 hour, where someone attampts to judge you. Sure there could be 2 or 3 interviews, but how good an impression can you get from someone in 2 hours? A fairly good one I'm sure you would argue. But how come you have appointed some 'not so good appointments Dunc'. I have not got jobs when I deserved them, becasue I interviewed badly. I have seen excellent candidates not get jobs for the same reason. Your argument is flawed Duncan.
It appears that you have complete and utter trust that Birch will make the right decision. Whatever happens our CEO will make the best decision for the club. Just like he did sacking Blackwell and appointing Speed. But hang on, was that him or the board? It would certainly be his recommendation. I don't have complete confidence that Birch and the baord will get it right. Unlike you I am not willing to have blind faith in the clubs decisions. This is your problem, blindy defening United (like you are on a mission) even when they have clearly got it wrong. And here you go again, putting your full faith behind the club without giving a thought that they could actually get it wrong (again). And you think that I am the one who isn't savvy![]()
I got bored at Daniel O'Donnell. Qute impressive really I don't very often get 4 words into your posts.
