Thanks for the link. No mention of Wilder etc and rather bland but I guess that is to be expected. Not really sure what the point of the statement is.

Fans have been saying the club's communication has been shite for years, I know they don't want pointless ones like this all the time, but it's a start. It's good to get some slight positivity out there.

Says very little of substance or that we don’t know. When they build trust on recruitment, medical etc. these statements will become to mean something.

Whilst maybe lacking some substance, it’s a positive improvement on a podcast appearance with a YouTuber.

I know a lot on here are calling for Wilders head but I feel this statement puts any speculation on that to bed.
Not so sure it does. Even if they are looking for a new manager there's no way they would put it out in a statement. Interesting bit about focusing on 'data and analytics' when recruiting new players. Not sure how this works without a DOF making the decisions.

How so? The fact he and his team weren’t even mentioned let alone thanked was a loud omission to me. They singled out scouting, getting players in and keeping them fit as key areas, could even be considered a criticism of the way club/team has been run thus far.

More professional, nice to see

The entire organisation, our staff, players, and everyone behind the scenes performed tremendously to reach Wembley in the first place. We overcame a points deduction and an injury crisis, and this spirit and resilience will continue to serve us well.

Wilder is indeed not mentioned directly but nor is anyone. I infer from this that they are satisfied with his performance, if not I doubt they would have thrown the mitigating circumstances in to the statement as to why we didn't succeed.

This section in the statement feels like it’s acknowledging what could be considered an overachievement. Whilst disappointed with not being promoted it comes across as they are happy enough

Totally. It doesn’t read to me as a statement which suggests he’s out. But it reads to me as best case he’s on a tight leash and worst case he is gone.

Feels like they haven't made a decision on Wilder so didn't want to mention him at all
I thought that. Leaving their options open. I expect they've encouraged him to go on holiday and will use the time to mull over their options ready to make a swift decision one way or the other when he gets back.

Anyone reading anything into what is or isn't said in a pretty short of all forms of detail statement must be the type of people who read tea leaves and see the future in them!

Intriguing talk of future recruitment and fitness but very vague at the same time!

I work in comms/PR so always have a view on these things but the biggest thing to take from this for me is no mention of Wilder.
I'm in a different line of work, but one that sometimes involves negotiating agreed statements; omissions are often more significant than inclusions, so I agree completely that there being no mention of Wilder in this statement is very interesting.

It's nice to see a message, any message, coming out of the club. In years past, a defeat like we suffered on Saturday would be met with complete silence from board level. The fact that the new ownership is willing to speak publicly, especially in the face of failure on the pitch, is very reassuring.

I realise that the statement doesn't really say anything new. We already knew about the aims to improve our recruitment methodologies, our facilities, and the squad health/fitness. But those were mostly shared to us by way of either a Wilder press conference, or by actions taken (e.g press releases/media reports around the ai-led signings in January).

Them coming out to commit to these things in writing, adds a layer of culpability. We have something to hang our hats on, in regards to club progression.

I find it helpful in holding a positive outlook for the next and future seasons. Knowing that they so dedicated to these aims that they are willing to put this statement out, gives me more reason to believe that what they want to achieve will actually happen.

Hopefully the building blocks of next season start quickly falling into place.

Yes but to me it’s talking more about staff “behind the scenes” like ticket office, catering etc not the manager who lead the whole shout, could be wrong

Not sure about that. Ticket office and catering all important but don't see how they "have performed tremendously to reach Wembley in the first place. "

Sounds like they're fairly happy with the season, obviously disappointed with Saturday and not going up, but a decent season with the 2 point deduction. Personally they make a point of wanting to be a premiership club so I would think if we're not in the top 2 or close by come Christmas Wilder will be replaced, they'll not want a 3rd year in this league, let's hope he hasn't wasted our parachute money by then

Wilder. Absolutely spot on for 45 minutes. But your weakness defines you.

It was a hard job this season. But they backed him in January! All his valid excuses on issues around depth should’ve dissapeared.

No doubt the board are probably thinking the same here. We really need a change of culture.

Sorry guys. My opinion of Wilder will always be high after 2016 to 2020. But I can’t have him anymore.

They have to sell Hamer and Souza. Let’s see our new scouting network of Robotos unearth some leaner, younger and faster versions.
