I personally don;t care about Wilson's Wendy background - but many will. Unless we get off to a very good start he will be under immense pressure from the off. For that reason, he should have a stand out background. I don't think he does.

Though he deserves a medal for it, he fucked Wendy up in the same way Robson did us. Not for me.

After reading so much about our next potential manager on here I think a few of our fans need to realise what we are. We're a League One club. We're not a play-off chasing Championship side any more. We're a shadow of what we once were. With that in mind we can't keep thinking we're going to get a big name manager or signings in. We need to be realistic. Too many people are starting to sound like our self-righteous neighbours over in S6.

The fact of the matter is, we're not an attractive proposition to anybody other than an up and coming manager from League One or Two. Its not a nice thing to have to deal with, but unfortunately that is the position we are in at this moment in time. So if we do end up getting Danny Wilson in, Don't all start moaning how you wanted somebody else. No manager will ever be good enough in the eyes of many, so channel your energy into supporting the team we all love and lets start to build again.

There are fans who will be "happy" with the likes of Hill, Robins, Tisdale, yet disappointed with Wilson. I'm one of them.

I understand the point you're making, but it doesn't make ALL managers decent candidates.

The fact of the matter is, we're not an attractive proposition to anybody other than an up and coming manager from League One or Two.

But that doesn't describe Wilson does it. He's a failed Premiership manager (twice over) and is a "been and gone" rather than an "up and coming".
I would have no problem with soneone like you described (preferably WITHOUT prior Blades connections) but "has beens" need not apply.
