In all my 60 years of watching the Blades I've seen garbage, utter garbage and proper sh1te. But I've also seen Currie pinging the ball to Woody and McGoldrick playing centre forward and centre back, all in the same game. I've been a godparent to one of Don Givens daughters and got a lift back on the team coach from the famous 2-1 defeat of Liverpool at Anfield in 1968, the season we got relegated. I've suffered the many play-off heartaches and also glories in the Triple Assault season and I am a proud owner of the shirt worn by the much maligned (by many on here) Neill Collins on his debut against the pigs at Hillsborough. We have all been on the roller-coaster that is supporting Sheffield United. Not for us the angst of only being mid-table in the Prem. Oh no. Our angst is in fluctuating from Division One champions to smashing Division 4 back in the 80s. Today, for me, was the absolute justification for slavishly following the Red and White Wizaaaards. We went to Spurs, matched them and even bettered them for long periods of the game; were cheated by a virtual assistant referee and battled back to make one very solid point. WE ARE NO LONGER A PUB TEAM FROM A PUB LEAGUE! I dedicate this song to our Blades and our Blades family
