My mates dad-in-law worked for Sheffield Star and he used to get us into the players lounge after the games.
Players who were dropped or injured pulled the pints.
I met lots of players of that time,Francis Joseph with a fag on the go,Mel Sterland was a frequent visitor,1 or 2 Blades players were mardy,John Gannon's bird was fit,and John Hendrie,then at Bradford was really funny.

Bloody sterland the pig. How did he blag his way in? Just because he played in When Saturday Comes? No wonder the called him a gypo!

Still at the lane that gypo , living in one of them white caravans on the pitch , as seen in the Desso video. I knew we shouldnt have left the gate open.:D
