In the 80's my mate and myself used to go in the players lounge after every home game with his dad in law who worked at the stir and knew 1 of the directors.
We had some laughs and met loads of players.
After one game we were talking and this bloke says "That Stancliffe's got a head like a three penny bit" not knowing that Stan's dad was stood right next to us
My mate nearly ended up fighting with Simon Tracey cos we were having a laugh with his and John Gannon's girlfriends and he got the face on when he came in later.
I remember John Hendrie being a top bloke,was at Bradford I think at that time.
Sometimes players who were injured or dropped would pull the pints behind the bar.
