Meltdown over......

Yes another thread on Ched, this one to sort out the over reactions, the meltdown stops here. 100% of Blades have praised CW and his team and tactics that have delivered the L1 championship and promises to deliver a reight party on Sunday topped off with 100 points.

You all declared you are behind Chris Wilder nows the time to prove they were not platitudes.

If it's true and he sees Ched as a key part of his plans then back him?

Stop dragging the club and fans backwards into disharmony the media and pigs would like to see and get on the Mighty Blades bandwagon to celibrate this club moving forward.
Of course to you the ones dragging the club back are only the ones criticising the big eared thick twat returning.

Can we talk about the subject, and not what you think of me, please? For the record, I don't give afat fuck what you think of me. This is about Evans, SUFC, Wilder and I believe, McCabe.

What 'hype'? We have re-signed a player whose conduct, whether found guilty or not cost us badly in the past and since release any association has blighted our name who this season has shown zero capability toward getting back to being the player he was, in the English League One, and who was borderline variable in the Championship. For half a million bucks. Talk to me if one or two of the other CBs are crocked or suspended midway through the season. That's where we need back-up.

Well, you've made my £500k into someone's 'I've heard it's £150k' in a hop-step-and-a-jump. I could live with £100k, it's not a lot to lose on a gamble at this level but if the board thinks this is the much vaunted 'investment' they'd better think again. Buying Evans is not Championshipising the club.

pommpey

And I don't give a fat fuck what you think I think about you! You are the one coming across as bitter and twisted by completely without substance, and based on YOUR personal feelings, dragging the name of ONE of the owners into being responsible for this signing over other board members, the owner, the head scout, the manager, the head coach....etc etc etc! You have no knowledge or facts on which to base that theory, other than you. That's why you look as described. For the record...I don't know you and can only base my opinions on what you have written.

The "Hype" is the 500k fee...,the way it's been reported without the clubs backing to coincide with a radio phone in to make it as sensational and controversial as possible in the build up to the last game of the season against the team who holds his registration! Im sure you are smart enough to have worked that out yourself. And are you really questioning priorities of signings for next season, when we haven't finished the current season? You have no clue what the clubs plans are, so why throw that in to the discussion?

And yes....for the speculation and guesswork around the fee, I may as well make up a fee of 100k. It's equally fictional as the supposed 500k....you see that's the hype. Same as the hype around us signing Moore for 500k...Caruthers and so on. The manager put that right I believe, and may well yet come out when he feels the time is right to put the Evans speculation right.
I suggest you trust the manager. You and many others, me included have pontificated over this player and that player and been proven way off the mark.
So I suggest you sit tight and keep your powder dry until there is something actually worth popping your lid for.

Coco, look how much store Chris sets in new signings being of the right calibrate,be able to fit into the group ethos, and you consider he would accept a player who doesn't fit in with this criteria,a player foisted upon him from above, his stock is that high he could walk into another job in a heartbeat, and we as fans would understand and back his decision

Fred

A good point and you are correct that many times he has talked about 'character' and often refers back to the Basset team for this.

IMHO I don't have a problem with it as a 'punt', but I think we have overpaid for a 28 year old with a patchy playing record. If CW is happy then so am I.

OK, now the dust has settled that leaves us with a strike force next season of Sharp, Clarke, Lavery, Hanson & Evans. I'm struggling to find any negatives in that to be honest.

Not forgetting McNulty & Done.....obviously going to be at least 2 out the door.

I have a feeling he may hang on to Done, he can cover a lot of positions, (albeit not particularly well at times) and would be a useful squad member. McNulty is as good as gone and it wouldn't surprise me if one of Hanson and Clarke didn't go as well. Doubtful that Billy will play a full 46 games at Championship level too....I can see another striker coming in over the summer as well as Ched.

Bit mystified about a couple of articles in the Star by Danny Hall today.
Back page on about Ched it says he scored 35 goals in 2011/12,
Same bloke in an article inside the paper say if Billy get's his 30th goal on Sunday he will be the first player to do so since Keith Edwards in 1983/84 ?

And one other thing. People kicking off about the supposed 500k fee.

Neither you, me or anyone else knows what the fee is. (if there even is one)

Again its all about being a drama queen and taking a tweet from a RS presenter as 'fact'

The fact is we will probably never know what the fee is.

But dont let the lack of facts get in the way of things eh!?!

Lol.

"If only it would all go away and everything can be lovely again."

But we really, really didn't need to be in this position, did we?

Anyway, the sooner he fails miserably and can be fucked off to some Third or Fourth Division side, the sooner we can just get on with things like we were. Because, in honesty, Evans becoming a Hussey mk.2 is more likely than him smoothly returning to the 2011/12 goalscoring form that his more ardent supporters seem to assume.

In the meantime I suppose we'll just have to put up with the joyous "he'll fuck who he wants" chants and with everything being about Evans rather than about the carefully crafted team ethic & spirit that Wilder's worked wonders to put in place.

But it'll certainly not spoil Sunday, nor the parade. Can only hope he's kept well away from both - because they're fuck all to do with him or his ego.

He's better than the championship I read......

I know, I know ......

i'll go along with this when i've got CW's take on it

I've little doubt this is McCabe's 'baby' and the bloke has an ego...still, if 'it's happening' I can't really see McCabe forcing this onto Wilder/Knill without them wanting to give the lad a chance?

That would be beyond the pale, even for McCabe...wouldn't it!?!?!?

P.S- As I stated before, the daftest thing is McCabe meeting up with Ched before the season has ended...one or two week's ffs!

In the Jan transfer window Wilder refused to rule out the possibility of moving for Evans.

That for me would say that he was interested in signing him & that this signing has his backing.

All the drama queens need to slow down alittle & back the club & CW in this decision.
still haven't heard CW's opinion.. until then i'm holding fire but it reeks of boardroom shenanigans

Even if it is £500,000, which many don't seem to think it is, then its still peanuts. Remember we're in the big league now, the Champions League and the toughest league in the world, all according to Wednesday fans, anyone would think an ice age had passed from when were last there with Keith Edwards, Colin Morris and Stan! ;)

The transfer window isn't even open yet, nobody's know who has started the rumour and it's not been confirmed by the clubs, so in theory this could even be a hype to help Chezy get a few offers in for the guy ?

Maybe the best way to deal with this is to respect others' opinions. Some are in favour of it, others aren't. Neither view means you're an idiot, a moron, a snowflake or any of the other terms of abuse being thrown about.
There's no need to get personal about it and start digging each other out. It's the worst thing we can do because that will turn a difference of opinion into another rift.

The number of threads, twitter comments, facebook posts & media comments is the very reason why I think this is a bad idea.

Yes I trust Wilder in everything to do with the team, but with the dis-harmony amongst the fans & the adverse media attention can we trust that Wilder will be able to stop the players being distracted?

He probably can, but it seems like a big risk for a player that is clearly past his best.

Evans scored 29 league goals in 2011-12, plus 6 in the Cup. He did not get 30 league goals - Edwards was the last to do that.

Get stuffed you Cockney nonce*

*For avoidance of any doubt, this is entirely in jest. No animals were harmed in the making of this crap post. There is no racist, sexist or homophobic intent and the writer is often nice to old ladies.

And this is exactly Radio Sheffield's intention. 'Blades special' last night? Don't make me laugh. As soon as that fucking moron Mick The Thick As Pig Shit Pitsmoor Pig rang in, do you think RS said 'I'm sorry, Mick. Tonight is a Blades Special. Can you ring back tomorrow?' Of course they didn't. It's not as if they don't know what they're getting with that fucking melt. It's the pigs mentality - like going on a United forum, pretending they're neutral and slagging the Blades off. It must appeal to their under-developed brain cell. RS could have prevented this but they chose not to. As for the Ched story - yet to be confirmed by the club - have they never heard of 'fake news'? I realise that local media is peopled by fucking amateurs, but they haven't applied due diligence before rushing out this story.

I'm neither a cockney nor a nonce. If you're going to abuse me please use the terms my southern mates use, which are all approved, such as 'northern cunt', 'that fucking Blade' or 'prick'.

So you think Wilder is a spineless yes man who will let the board sign any player they like without his approval?

We need Wilder more than Wilder needs us, he can easily walk into a job as good if not better than United. So with that in mind, the board won't be doing anything stupid like signing Ched behind Wilder's back and if they did he certainly wouldn't be standing for it.

I don't listen to it.

For the record...I don't know you and can only base my opinions on what you have written.

So keep 'me' out of this discussion. It's about those people mentioned. Unless McCabe is your dad, what are you 'popping your lid' about?

The "Hype" is the 500k fee...,

It's you who brought the equally unfounded cheaper price in.

I suggest you trust the manager. .

I think I have mentioned that I already do. Pay attention, eh?

Sorry, but just by living among them you have become an adopted 'cockernee' (and I do know that Sheperds Bush is some distance from Bow Church, even with a following Easterly wind). Making up Southern 'mates' makes you look even more desperate and I'm sure you'll agree I've got you 'bang to rights and no mistake, guv'nor'?

Thanks for confirming your sexual non deviations, so can we just settle on 'Cockney Prick' then?

Rifts can start spontaneously on this forum anyway, anywhere beyond post #15 we're one post away from armaggedon :)

Don't worry Grizzly, when Ched scores his first goal at the Lane next season I'll take a picture of him celebrating spread-eagled on the Desso and send it to Pommpey!

Please do.

Please take some of him sat on the bench also if that is the case.

ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON B56!

The media are doing their best to try and crank it up, but it's a non story if we stick together.

And any Pig comes on all rightous over us signing an innocent man, just remind them how they creamed themselves over those vile pieces of shit, Ranger and Madine.

See you and raise it...
