Both linked with a move this morning. Would be happy with Surman and if he can bring Keough with him all the better.

Not to fussed over McSheffrey now to be honest.

Cant afford McSheffrey, can't afford Keogh........

Surman might be a possiblity but I could see someone like Blackpool or Leeds going in for him. A newly promoted club with some spare promotion cash will pinch him.

Why can't we afford McSheffrey?

He's damaged goods who was at Leeds last season and is on a free.

Don't particularly want him, but he's easily within our compass.

If thats the case you must know how much he earns?

I think it is much safer to assume he's out of our range than in it, considering the budget cuts. One would assume that as Birmingham have been promoted two or three times since he's been there, his wages would have increased through promotion incentive (which most players have these days). I would be very surprised if McSheffrey isn't earning something into 5 figures a week, taking everything into account.

He may have been on loan at Leeds but a) what proportion of his wages were they paying him and b) a short term loan is not as costly as a permanent transfer in most cases.

What makes him damaged goods? I dont care whether we sign him or not.

McSheffrey has surely been on 5 figures a week, but he's apparantly no longer the player he used to be and may be lucky to get a contract with a Championship club. No Leeds fan seems to want him to stay, even though they could have him for nothing.

Rather than discussing an ageing and injury prone winger who did poorly in League One last season, maybe we should try the young winger already on our books who did well?

Good shout! Last season that player was down as my most dangerous player for us. He just didn't get to play:( (Im assuming you mean Kyel??:P)

The ones that don't play have simply yet to demonstrate their inabilities. I saw enough of Reid in his brief cameos to realise why he is plying his trade at Division 1 level and impressed no one at Barnsley or at BTDBL.

The best way to be a legend amongst some Blades fans is not to play or be transferred. You just get better and better.

I saw alot more of him than just brief cameo's. You don't get to show what you can do with 10minutes here and there. It takes 10minutes to get upto the pace of the game.
