I just think he's not going to have the impact we need him to have this season.

Certainly don't want to appear overly critical of him considering what he has done for us, however in the cold light of day he's not getting in goalscoring positions as much as he should and when he does he's not clinical enough. His link up play used to be beautiful but in this side it does not have the same effect.

Success in football, and in many aspects of life, is knowing when to move on/move people on, even if it means being ruthless and lacking sentiment.

I think it's time for him to do that, get a well earned move to the MLS or wherever he wants to go.

There'll be many aghast at this suggestion, and it's hard to make a post like this without it sounding like you're slagging him off, but realistically is he going to score enough goals and create enough assists for us this season?

If the answer is no, it's time to say we love you David but it's time to say goodbye x
If there was a laugh imoji i would press it

Yep, decent game tonight, looked eager and fit

Very good game, lovely pass for the first goal. A big blow he went off, I presume a hamstring injury four weeks out at least.

Yes looked bad. Hamstring? Might rule him out for the rest of the season in which case that could be his last appearance for us. I doubt if he will be offered another years contract. If that's right I really hope we the fans get the chance to give him the send off he deserves. He has been immense since signing and so much part of our successful seasons in 2018/19 and 2019/20.

I’d like to see Berge start in Didzy’s position. He’s never looked comfortable being played in the wide midfield channel. Maybe a free role will allow him to express himself. He certainly has the talent to play killer balls into the box.

Not sure which Didzy thread to bump.

But I thought he had a decent game tonight.

I hope he's alright; last thing we need is another forward gone.

It didn't look to clever though, did it?
Could be absolutely anything.
But no, didn’t look clever at all.

Looks like an Achilles issue to me, the way he went down after the cross and then couldn't move or put pressure on it as he was helped off. I've done it and it's not good. Really hope not obviously and is back soon.

He went down holding his groin

That’s what I thought. He’s was hobbling and signalled to come off pre cross. Sky showed him not putting weight on his right foot so gos knows what it is ??
I thought Hecky asked if he was OK to stay on and he said yes

I thought exactly the same. I’ve snapped both mine in the past and the way he went down and hobbled off looked similar.

Living legened. Loved you Didzy, if only you could hit a barn door.

An absolute baller for us and on his day, one of the most skillful and creative players in the team.

Thanks for the memories!

Can't thank him enough for what he did in his time here, pure Gold -rick. ,

One of Mr Wilders gambles that did pay off....;)

Good luck Didzy and thanks again....👍👍👍

Not a big surprise in some respects but all the same, I’m sorry to see Didzy leave.
What a player he’s been for us.
Also not sure this was the time to announce it - unless they use it to our advantage & set up a rousing reception before kick-off maybe?
I’d like to see Didz & Freeman (it’ll take both of ‘em) pushing Moose round the pitch in his wheelchair with a chip-van & a First Aid post set up at the corner flags so he can get the appropriate ‘treatment’ he’ll inevitably need.
Cheers Didz!

Would love to see him given a proper farewell before kickoff today. What a player he was for us. Came here on trial, and became a genuine legend. God luck in the future David. Hope he gets a couple more seasons somewhere. Anyone that takes a chance on him will be getting a genuine Rolls Royce footballer.
