Don't disagree with the promise that both Baxter and Cuvelier bring - but so far, it's just been that - promise from a past reputation.
I have seen nothing from them to suggest they are going to make the same impact as they did for other clubs last year, at the Blades. Now, you may point out that they have been played out of position or that injuries have restricted their opportunities and that may be true but I have not really been convinced they have the stomach to show at a big club - yet. They have to force their way into the managers thinking by showing their undoubted qualities to wrestle the shirt from somebody already in the team. It really is up to them. If they are no better than Brandy, Murphy, Taylor or Flynn and cannot force any of these out of the team then they are of no value. I don't see either of them getting the shirts from McGinn or Doyle in the starting XI.
I like quality players like the next feller but professionals have to match the commitment and effort of those around them and that of those they are playing against to show their true value. Rooney and Ronaldo (the slimmer) are both quality players but they absolutely work their gnads off - every game, regardless.
